Blessed Assurance

How do we know that OUR beliefs are the correct beliefs?  There are so many "religions" out there; many of which are actually "cults" because they don't adhere strictly to the teachings of the Holy Bible, as God gave them to us.  I have the blessed assurance of knowing that my beliefs are correct because my faith lies 100% on the KJV Bible which says in Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book:".  This means that God's Word is complete.  No matter what men may say "God revealed to them", you cannot add to, or take away from, what is written in His Word.  I love having this blessed assurance.

I have entered this card into a few different challenges.  They are as follows:
http://www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/ - Punches (I used the butterfly punch)
http://www.citycrafter.blogspot.com/ - I Heart You (I used a Melissa Frances glitter heart)
http://www.mymumscraftshopchallenges.blogspot.com/ - Happy Birthday
http://www.craftycatzweeklychallange.blogspot.com/ - Time For a Sketch

This card uses a patterned paper base of Girl's Paperie, a strip of Bo Bunny Double Dots, a strip of Melissa Frances (all machine stitched), a doily Glimmer Misted blue, a Martha Stewart doily, a Mellissa Frances glitter heart, some Recollections flowers, punched butterflies with gems, and a Pebbles Happy Birthday rub-on.  I touched the edges with paint and glittered them, and used some Ranger Ink on the edges as well,  I hope you all like it.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek.  I appreciate it, and will appreciate any comments you might leave.  It blesses my heart to hear your thoughts.  Also, remember to enter the give-away for the antique floral frog.

My Cup Runneth Over,

Karen

  1. Beautiful cards Miss Karen;

    You are so right. Blessed Assurance from God's only true word. God said not one jot nor tittle would be changed in His word. And man is that true. Any other books that have added or taken away from God's word will bring great curses to those that wrote them.

    For example, "The Book of Mormon, written by a man named Joseph Smith after he was given some golden plates that only he could interpret. WHen asked to produce these plates, he could not. Even his then wife and scribes never saw these supposed plates. God has provided original texts for all to see for His holy Bible.

    Even Charles Taze Russel, founder of Jehovahs Witness, has rpoduced false doctrine in Awake and Wacth Tower magazines. And their New World Translation Bible has been proven false when in 1954 in Scotland, the committee of scholars could not read a simple note written in Hebrew or Greek.

    Todat their is even a translation out the has changed every reference to man to a feminine tone.

    No, there is only one Bible that is the true word of God. It was written at an 8th grade level in 1611. Trnaslated from the actual Hebrew, Chaldean and Greek text. It has never been copyrighted either. That is the KJV version of the Bible. And it clearly states that the ONLY way to heaven is through Jesus Christ, the only true God. Any other belief is false and inaccurate.

    Thank you for your artwork Miss Karen'

  3. Hi Karen, lovely card, yes, I agree with you, the only Bible I study and teach from is the the KJV. Gods words are life to me, I would be lost without it. Hugs
