A Scripture Challenge and a Give-Away

This week, I learned of an awesome challenge blog called http://www.stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/ which is a Christ-centered blog where all of the challenges are based on Biblical scriptures.  This is something I try to do with all my posts anyway, so I knew this was something for me.  The challenge this week is centered around the verses Matthew 7:7-8 and requires the use of a door on your project.  What a blessing that Christ has told us he will open the doors of our hearts when we ask Him to come in and speak to us.  I am so excited to be a part of this exciting blog challenge.  You can read more about it here: http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/2011/09/challenge-106-matthew-77-8.html and I hope you will let the Lord, Jesus Christ, speak to you through His precious word.

Inside of Card (with scripture):
I also want to tell you about an awesome give-away I'm starting today, Monday 9/12, and running through Monday, 10/17.  I'm giving away this beautiful antique floral frog.  I love floral frogs for displaying cards and photographing them for blog posts.  They've become very popular in blogging, and I hope that whoever wins this one will love it and use it to display their own cards and creations.
All you have to do to win this cute little antique floral frog is:

1.  Become a follower of my blog if you are not already following.
2.  Leave a comment on this post, and
3.  Check back at the end of the give-away to see if you are a winner.

It's that easy.  A special word of thanks to Mellisa Bove at http://www.keepsakesbymelissa.blogspot.com/ for mentioning this give-away on her awesome blog.  Good luck to all of you who enter to win, and don't forget to check back to see if you have won.

Blessings to you all,

Karen

  1. Thank you for the comment on my card. I would not normally add a Halloween card to that particular challenge. I have another planned using one of my favorite scriptures *yours above* that I will add later this week. (if I have any crafty time left after all the running around planned for the kids ;)

Your card is stunning! I love the toiparies and the beautiful doily inside.
Inspirational and powerful and soft and lovely all in one.

    Thanks again for stopping by.

  19. I really need to be a part of somethings so christ centered.. I often felt vain with this hobby, now I can see I can use it and he can use it to teach me more...

Your work...the quotes..are just what I need to hear.. I am a believer..just having some struggles internally. I dont feel comfortable with our pastor. My husband isnt saved..my daughter who has been taught better and given her life to Christ, has departed from that and leading a life that I cant repeat here.. Ive been praying for my hubby steadily. Most people are shocked and in disbelief to find he isnt a christian because of his heart to serve and love others..His name is Henry. he goes by chip... If you want to pray for his salvation please feel free. I sometimes grow weary and feel like its never going to happen. With all thats gone on with my family..I just feel broken. sorry to go on so long...
