Spooky Stuff

For those of you following Rebecca's story.  She had two surgeries, and is paralyzed from the chest down.  She will require further surgery, and is still heavily sedated because of the extreme pain, but she is holding on and we are trusting God for her future.  Please continue to pray for this precious young girl and her family.

I must admit that Halloween is not my most favorite holiday.  I don't love the evil under-tones of the holiday, but there are a lot of fun parts to Halloween also.  One is handing out candy and gospel tracts to the 100+ kids that come to our door each year.  Another fun activity is making "spooky" little cards for challenges.  I really had to get creative with what I had to come up with this card.  I hope someone likes it.

I am entering this spooky little card in the following fun challenges:

http://scrap-creations1.blogspot.com/2011/10/going-grey-with-scrap-creations_11.html - Halloween

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek, and thank you SO MUCH for those of you who have prayed for Rebecca.  I always trust that God is in control.

Bless you, and have a wonderful day.

Karen

  1. I'm with you on the halloween thing. It's the holiday I like the very least. If I even would do any halloween challenges, I would only do maybe a jack 'o lantern or a cutesy image. Thankfully it will be over soon! :D

  3. Thank you for the progress update on Rebecca Karen. I have had 2 massive spine operations so far with a strong possibility of more in the future, so I can sympathise a little bit with poor Rebecca. I also use a wheelchair but thankfully am able to walk a wee bit with crutches too. So I will most definitely keep her in my thoughts and Im very grateful that you are keeping us updated. I would be very interested to know how she is in the coming months. I love your halloween project, its really fantastic looking. Lee x

  8. Oh wow gorgeous card Karen, I love the embellies you've used, it's just perfect for our challenge.
Halloween is my least favourite too, probably because we don't really celebrate it much in the UK and we don't send the cards we make either which is a waste.
I'll keep Rebecca in my prayers & thoughts.
Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp for our Halloween / Goth challenge

  10. Hi Karen: Yes...I'd LOVE to be a follower!!! What a lovely message you left me...maybe one of the most precious. It is a keeper for sure. This card is fantastic! I love the wheat. How creative to add something of this season that people have on their lawn as well as the traditional Halloween things. I like you, am NOT a fan of this time. I usually go out (humbug) but this year have said I will stay in and do "the thing." UGH. It's a tough one. Your site is full of wonderful spirit - your love speaks through everything. I am SO glad you invited me over here. I have looked at your cards...they are tremendous and SO original. Your colors are wonderful and the elements are unique and compliment each other. Sometimes, like on your blog, I wonder how on earth people think up these things! I look forward to BFF-ing and speaking in the future. Squeezes with G-d in the middle! xox Samara
