The Power of Prayer

Never underestimate the power of prayer.  When we tell someone, "I'm praying for you", we should really mean it.  It only takes a moment to pray for someone, and if we say we're going to do it, then we should.  Why?  Because God answers prayer.  He hears us when we pray to Him, and He will always answer our prayers.  Yes, we are to praise Him and thank Him, but to "pray" means to "ask" literally.  Let Him hear you ask for the things you need, or for the needs of others, and NEVER underestimate the power of prayer.

I made this mini layout for a friend of mine who was recently hospitalized.  I want her to know that it's not just a sweet saying, and that I really am praying that she will soon be well.  I use these mini layouts to attach a photo on the back side so that the recipient can always remember the occasion for which it is given.  I will be including a photo of the two of us from when I visited her in the hospital.

  2. You are sooo right, never under estimate the power of prayer... sometimes the answer is not what we want, but God always knows whats best for us, even better than we do. I've been searching and praying for a different job closer to home. (I drive 90 miles a day). But God feels like I need to be where I am now for a reason, and so I will stay. Prayer and knowing that God is in control gives me great comfort in all I do. Your card is very beautiful, and I know your friend will enjoy it. Have a wonderful weekend, my great friend in Christ. Hugs, Dawn

  6. What a beautiful card! And, what an important message!
You are so right...in fact, I believe there is a Scripture that speaks about when we tell someone we will pray them...that God takes that as a promise...a commitment. (I'm sorry, I can't think of where it is.) And, we certainly don't want to break our word.

I just love all of the pearls on this card. The flowers are so full, and the charm adds another aspect of dimension or texture to this lovely card! Beautiful!

  7. Hi...Sorry, I should have asked before. Where did you get your buttons like, "I am really glad you're here." Or the Scripture tags. I have been trying to find out forever. I would appreciate your letting me know, if you remember. Thank you so much!
