Word Art Wednesday

It's Wednesday again, and so. . . .it's time for another new challenge at Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog where this week's sponsor is Fred She Said and we would REALLY LOVE to have YOU join in the fun.  Please stop by to check us out and play along.

This is the project I made using this week's free word art/scripture.  I made a wall hanging using a 7 Gypsies 8x8 board, patterned papers  by MME and October Afternoon, a Tim Holtz ticket tag, a Prima velvet stem, miscellaneous flowers, MM trims, vintage buttons, Melissa Frances resin oval, a Freckled Fawn suede leave, Tim Holtz staples, machine stitching and ultra-fine glitter.

Close Up of the free Scripture/word art from Word Art Wednesday:

I am entering this in the following challenges this week:

http://www.simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/2012/06/simon-says-stamp-and-show-anything-goes.html - Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Goes

http://www.paperplaychallenges.blogspot.com/2012/06/12-week-23-back-to-kraft-basics.html - Paper Play Challenges - Back to Kraft Basics

http://www.pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/06/pile-it-on-24-lets-get-outdoors.html - Pile it On Challenges - Let's Get Outdoors.  I figured I'd take my card "outdoors to the garden".

Before I go, I am SO super excited about a yard sale find I made this week.  I really wanted to share this beautiful antique watering can with you that I was able to pick up at a yard sale for all of $15.  I have seen them go for $50 in antique stores, and even more on EBay.  This one is really cute, and it still has a working spout.  Many of the older watering cans are missing the spouts.  This one is a good find.  I have several in my back yard, and I one in the garden.
Thanks for stopping by today.  I really hope you will take the time to play along at Word Art Wednesday if you haven't already.  We welcome everyone, and really appreciate having new participants.  So, please help us grow our little challenge blog.  YOU are a blessing to us.

Blessings to you, my blog friends.
Karen

  11. I love all the layers, textures and soft colors in your wall hanging. I love antiques, and agree that the watering can was a great buy. I have one that a friend of mine gave me, but it's missing the sprinkler. I also have one that I got for my wife that has a bendable spout - very interesting looking. Blessings!

Great find on the watering can! I LOVE it and wish you and I lived closer to go to yard sales or thriftin' together. I'd love to have you come over and do art together.
