Going Green at The Kraft Journal

It's Monday again, and time for another great challenge at The Kraft Journal Challenge Blog where this week, the theme is "Lucky Green".  So, what I did was "Google" the words vintage St. Patrick's Day images, and I was delighted with all the darling images that were available out there FOR FREE!  I bought a package of printer-ready canvas and printed the image onto canvas, and then cut it using pinking shears.  To make my card, I started with a Lunch Bag Kraft Notecard and adhered a piece of Kelly Green cardstock to that.  Let me just say that these Lunch Bag Kraft Notecards are WONDERFUL!  They come in various sizes, and are a great value for the money (cheaper than at Michael's and better quality, too!).  Next, I attached the canvas image to the green cardstock. You can also get plenty of cute Canvas Pieces at The Kraft Outlet to embellish your projects.  Next, I added several vintage buttons that I tied with brown and green Baker's Twine.  The bow on my card was made using more of the Baker's Twine, some jute, and Natural Twill Tape.  I also accented my bow with a Tim Holtz Memo Pin that I dolled up using Jan DelBone's super cute Glitter Stick Pin Tutorial.  Here is my "Lucky Green" card:
You know me.....I can't resist entering some challenges.  So, these are the challenges I found where my "Lucky Green" card would fit:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - A Bit 'O Green

Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge Blog - Chic to Be Shabby - My favorite style!

The Ribbon Girl Challenge - March Challenge - Add Ribbon or Twine (I just LOVE using Baker's Twine)

Dream Valley Challenges - Challenge #52 - Mother's Day/For a Woman - This card is for my precious Mother-in-Law because she is Irish and I always like to honor her heritage by helping my children/family celebrate her heritage for St. Patricks's Day

The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog - Challenge #78 - Spring Is In The Air

That's it for today.  I am really excited about this package of canvas I bought, and plan to use it for the March 20 challenge at Word Art Wednesday which will be sponsored by the adorable Crafty Secrets, and I just know their sweet vintage images will look great printed on this canvas.  You are welcome to join us for both challenges this week - Word Art Wednesday and The Kraft Journal.

Blessings to you all,

Karen
