Our Daily Bread Sketch

As I've said many times before, one of the greatest blessings I've received through blogging are all the wonderful friends God has given me.  I've met so many lovely people; many of whom enjoy playing along in our weekly challenges at Word Art Wednesday and many who inspire me with their beautiful creations.  Several of those artists who seem to inspire me week after week are several of the Design Team Members from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Every time they link up their gorgeous cards at Word Art Wednesday, I fall more in love with the gorgeous stamps from Our Daily Bread, and become even more impressed by the talent these women have in using those beautiful stamps.  If you've never had the pleasure of seeing their work, I would encourage you to visit Our Daily Bread Designs' Blog and check out the samples from their talented Design Team.  I am SO incredibly grateful to have several of these lovely Christian women play along and share their talents in the challenges at Word Art Wednesday.  With all that said, when I saw the sketch for this week's challenge at Our Daily Bread Challenge Blog on Kathy Roney's beautiful blog, I knew I just had to make time to create something and join in the challenge.

My inspiration for this post was solely to say THANK YOU to these sweet women of God who have blessed me SO MUCH.  Although I "expect nothing in return" for dedicating this card to them, I am blessed by their inspiration and friendship.  I'd definitely have dedicated this to them anyway because they, like SO MANY bloggers, are such a blessing to me.  I just wanted to say THANK YOU.
I used a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called Seed Packet.  It's a favorite Bible verse from my childhood.  I didn't use the entire set; but rather, just the sentiment/scripture.  I stamped it onto a cardstock base that I cut using a Spellbinders die-cut.  I placed a vintage cream doily underneath, and also attached some My Mind's Eye patterned paper and velvet trim to fit in the sketch theme.  The final touches were some inking, some pearl sticker accents, and a seam binding bow tied with jute.  That's about it.  You really can't go wrong with these beautiful stamps.  They are high-quality and just, oh so sweet!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Scrapping Everyday Miracles - Challenge #26 - Giving Without Expecting Anything in Return.  As explained above, while I don't "expect" anything in return, I am so blessed by the inspiration and friendships of all my on-line crafty friends to whom I dedicated this card (and am sending it to one of them).

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - A Bit 'O Green - I used green seam binding in my bow to tie in with the green leaves on the floral patterned paper

Simon Says Stamp and Show Vintage Challenge Blog - By The Numbers - As I've said before, my favorite "numbers" are those that reference Bible verses.  In this case, my card has the numbers 17 and 20 from Matthew 17:20

City Crafter Challenge Blog - Challenge #149 - Shades of Pink

The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog - Challenge #78 - Spring Is In The Air

Dream Valley Challenge Blog - Challenge #52 - Mother's Day/For A Special Woman - This card was made in honor of the beautiful women from Our Daily Bread Designs who inspire me SO much, and I plan to send it to one of them!  I praise God for the wonderful women in my life!

I really do want to express my gratefulness for the the gals at Our Daily Bread Designs who are continually such a blessing to me, and who inspire me week after week.  These ladies are among many others who have blessed me with their friendship, their generosity, inspiration, and encouragement.  God is SO GOOD to give us such wonderful friends through this craft that we all love so much.  Please know that YOU are a blessing to me, and I thank you so much for visiting today.

May God bless you,
Karen
