Have a Happy Birthday

I almost forgot about my niece's birthday, and so I sat down and whipped up a Birthday Card faster than I think I've ever made a card in my life.  I had to finish it, and then rush off to the post office to get it mailed.  My head was spinning, but within 30 minutes, I had completed the card, addressed it, ran to the post office, mailed all my packages, and gotten home.  That's record time!  And for those of you who won at Word Art Wednesday in last week's challenge, I got all your prizes mailed as well.  It feels SO good to have it all accomplished.  Now, I need to figure out what's for dinner.
I used some October Afternoon patterned papers and chipboard, some Twinery twine from V's Sweet Ideas, and a Verve sentiment stamp.  That's about it.....quick and simple.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Vintage Challenge Blog - Absolutely Anything Goes

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge Blog - Challenge #69 - Buttons and Bows Theme -I've used a baker's twine bow and a button as well.  Really Reasonable Ribbon is just amazing, and has incredible products.  Check out their wonderful store.....SO much fun!

Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

  6. Karen...your card is so cute. I really like the mix of the vintage looking measuring tapes in the background and the brighter more "retro" looking strips of cardstock in the foreground. Very cute design! Thanks for sharing your card with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
