Shabby Button Card

I just love the sewing, button, and otherwise "crafty" stamps in my collection.  It seems that I don't take them out and use them nearly as often as I'd like; but for today's card, I decided to revisit a few old favorites.  I also included some MME paper for the base, and some October Afternoon patterned papers and stickers, as well as some baker's twine, jute, a crocheted doily, machine stitching, a vintage (red) button, a wooden spool button, and some vintage lace.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog - Simon Says ANYTHING GOES this week, and this is my 5th and final entry this week.  Crossing my fingers!!

The Ribbon Reel - Challenge #52 - "Love Letters" inspired by the colors and themes in this photo, plus buttons (I used a wooden spool button with an antique red button in the center), ribbon (I used lace and jute) and baker's twine:
Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge - #152 - "Needle It"  As I most often tend to do, this card includes machine stitching (in red).

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, and leaving a comment.  I look forward to visiting all of you to see what you've been creating this week.  I always like to try something new.  How about you?

Blessings to you all,
Karen

  3. Cute cards, love all the sewing elements on the first one and the ink blown card is so fun. I saw ink blowing about 3 years ago but have never done it. There is always so many techniques and so little time. Hugs

  11. I remember the five and dime store at Billings Bridge. It was such a treat to walk up and down the isles looking at all the wonderful items. Sometimes we got to sit at the food counter on round stool's and get an order of fries. All your colors, shapes and textures remind me of that.
    Blessings,
    Carole
