There are so many beautiful embellishments available to us all in the crafty world. But one of my many favorite things is a doily. I have several die-cut doilies, some vintage doilies that I found at an antique store in Monterey, some pre-cut doilies from Martha Stewart, and of course, the white doilies that we all see in craft shops. One of my most favorite of all is the doily I used on this card; the French Pastry doily die-cut from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I used Basic Grey's Urban Prairie patterned papers on this card and even cut my doily from it. I also did some machine stitching, as I most often do. The flowers are cut using some of the beautiful wool felt from Prairie Point Junction and some flower die-cuts from Papertrey Ink. Additional supplies include buttons, an October Afternoon sticker, a Pebbles rub-on and some baker's twine.
Basic Grey Challenge Blog - Challenge #96 - Doilies - I used a doily die-cut and cut my doily in half using both pieces, but alternating placement. The patterned papers I used are from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie collection.
