I don't know about all of you, but Sunday afternoons are very relaxing for me. After church, a bite of lunch, and getting home....it's time to relax. And for me, that means time in my craft room. I decided to make a card that would allow me to enter a few challenges (something I haven't done a whole lot of lately).
I used a piece of patterned paper from Basic Grey's Porcelain line that I inked along the edges and machine stitched. Next, I took a doily die-cut from Cheery Lynn Designs and cut two of them. The first one was also inked and adhered to my patterned paper. The second one was inked and also has my sentiment stamp on it, which is from Verve Rubber Stamps. I added some "nectarine" seam binding, vintage lace and a string of pearls across the card, and then made a bow out of the same items. That is topped with a Basic Grey wooden button tied with jute. The finishing touch was adding two stick pins.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Basic Grey Challenge Blog - Challenge #96 - Doilies - I used a doily as well as Basic Grey Porcelain patterned paper and a Basic Grey wooden button
The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog - Challenge #55 - "Treasure Pearls" - I used a string of pearls across my card and in my bow, and added a pearl stick pin as well
The Play Date Café - A Splash of Summer Nectarine - I used this gorgeous color template to create my card. The patterned paper and seam binding are Nectarine, and I have little touches of black

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're all enjoying this Father's Day. I had a chance to speak with my Dad and my Step-Dad today to tell them both how very much I love them and appreciate all they've done to make my life so blessed.
