Blessed Is The Nation

This week at Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog, we are celebrating our great nation's Independence Day with a beautiful scripture/word art file from Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom He hath chosen for his own inheritance".  This is a wonderful scripture that talks about how God alone can bless our nation.  And He WANTS to bless us if we, as a nation, will turn our hearts back to Him and place our complete trust in Him.  I hope that you will help celebrate the 4th of July this year by stopping by to play along in our challenge this week.  We would really LOVE to have you join us!
My card was made using a base made from a Lunch Bag Kraft Notecard from The Kraft Outlet.  Next, there are several strips of wide white and red rick rack sewn down to the base to create the stripes of the USA flag.  The blue corner of the flag is made from strips of vintage navy blue seam binding, and everything is machine stitched and glittered.  The hearts are cut from white wool felt, and the word art/scripture was printed on Lunch Bag Cardstock and is also inked and machine stitched.

    This is a truly special card! What a clever idea to use rick rack as you did and to have the skills to create such a nice-looking product. I love the shimmer of the felt and the dimension that your card contains. Scripture is always true, and I,too, pray that America will seek God and repent.

I fear where our country is heading and wonder sometimes if how far it can go before God will remove his blessing from her.     What an amazing background you made with the ricrac. The felt stars are a nice accompaniment for that style. I was really glad that Word Art Wednesday chose that Psalm. I had been thinking about that one for a week. Of course, your comments are perfect for any nation. I've been praying for our nation specifically to turn to the Lord.
