Summer Fun at V's Sweet Ideas

It's July - my birthday month, and....I'M ON VACATION!!  As this post goes live today, I am at my BFF's house, in Minnesota, crafting and having LOADS of fun.  As some of you may know, Patti Lyn and I have been BEST FRIENDS since we were 4 years old (let's just say 40 years plus).  We grew up together, went to Kindergarten together, graduated high school together, have shared lots of ups and down in one another's lives, and all these years later.....we still enjoy one another's company more than almost anything else in the world.  We've been creating all kinds of great projects, doing some antiquing, eating ice cream, and just having LOADS of fun.

 

Well, since it's the First of July, another new month also means a brand new challenge at V's Sweet Ideas Blog.  This month's theme is "Summer Fun", so you can enter any cards or projects that have to do with summer (flowers, the Sun, outdoors, etc.) - whatever Summer means to you is fine with us, and we would love to have you stop by to play along.

I made my card using lots of great patterned papers and stickers from the 100 Days of Summer line from Simple Stories as well as a My Mind's Eye piece.  I also used some goodies from V's Sweet Ideas including an Everyday Life Chic Journaling Card, some Maya Road Paper Roses (I used colored ones), and my bow is made with Ivory Crinkled Ribbon, Melon Crinkled Ribbon, and May Arts Natural Burlap Twine.  You will find so many darling products in V's Sweet Shoppe including several brand new items from Freckled Fawn, and V offers low shipping rates.  You will definitely want to stop by and check it out!
