Karen Letchworth for The Kraft Journal
|
For this week's Buttons, Bows or Bangles Challenge, Karen Letchworth really wanted to do something creative with buttons and bows. She started with a fun burlap bag and added several die-cut flowers made from wool felt. The centers of the flowers are accented with vintage "Buttons" tied with lots of Natural Hemp Cord and Red Baker's Twine to make the "Bows". Karen cut her leaves from green wool felt as well as a few burlap leaves cut from a Burlap Tag (on sale - 20% off this week) to give her project a vintage rustic look. Since she wasn't quite sure what a "Bangle" is, Karen added a Tim Holtz Memo Pin which holds a tiny heart-shaped tag. For more information on this project, please stop by Karen's Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello. And don't forget to do some fun shopping this week at The Kraft Outlet. Happy Crafting!
This is gorgeous Karen - really pretty and full of texture.

Pretty! Love the vintage/rustic look!
ReplyDeleteI love all the texture in this gift bag, which is a beautiful gift in itself. I have some felt squares, but hadn't thought about using them to cut die shapes. Blessings!
