The Warmth of Autumn

This week at Eureka Stamps Challenge Blog, we're celebrating Fall and the warmth and wonder of Autumn.  Our challenge for this week is Fall with jute, twine or string (no ribbon).  I love using jute, and it's perfect for the harvest look.  I started my card with a Buff Ivory Blank Note Card from The Kraft Outlet.  I highly recommend these cards (in cream and kraft at great prices) as your card base with matching envelopes.  They are a wonderful quality cards!  Next, I used some Autumn patterned papers from my stash, and it's always nice to use up old supplies.  I tied the jute around the card several times, and then tied it in a bow.  I used the Pumpkin Digi #2407 that I printed several times and used foam tape to give them dimension (it's much more noticeable in real life), and for the sentiment, I used Eureka Harvest Digi # 38502 which I matted, inked and embellished with some gems.

I also took a close-up picture of the sentiment so you can see how crisp and clear Eureka Stamps' digis are.  They really are top-notch quality digis.  The pumpkin I used on this card is one of several in their amazing shop.  They also have many wonderful sentiment digis which are great for card-making.  Sometimes, people forget that purchasing digital sentiments can be the perfect answer to having the right sentiment for your cards, and Eureka Stamps has so many wonderful sentiments at low prices.

As Autumn and Thanksgiving approach, I just really want to encourage you all to focus on the MANY blessings in your life.  I completely understand that we all have our problems, aches and pain, stresses, financial worries, family members we worry about, and so on.  But, our blessings BY FAR outweigh our burdens.  Most especially at this time of year, take the time each day to say thank you to God for all the simple pleasures that you might normally take for granted.  When you wake up in the morning, and you have two strong legs to stand up on, that's a praise.  Having hair on your head to comb, teeth to brush, and fingers to do your work are all blessings. God wants to hear us thanking and praising Him. Just stop and think about all the good things in your life - your home, your warm bed, the food  you eat, your friends and family, and the list literally never ends.  Just give Him the praise He deserves.  He longs to hear from you.  I really hope that as you begin to speak with Him and praise Him, that you will be drawn closer to Him and experience His deep love and provision for you.  It's called "Thanksgiving" so that we are reminded to give thanks, and it shouldn't just be one day a year.  God is good EVERY DAY!!  Let Him know how VERY much you appreciate all the things He has given you.

Hiding In My Craft Room - Challenge #119 - Super Scraps Saturday - I used old paper scraps for this card including the scraps of paper I used to stamp my pumpkins.  It's an AWESOME challenge using up scraps!

I am very grateful for each of you!  God has given me so many beautiful friends (many who I've never even met in person), but I know that He sent you into my life for a reason, and that reason is so that we can be a blessing to each other.  I'm blessed by your visits, your comments, and just having you in my life.  Thank you for your friendship, and please know that I do praise God for you!   If I can be a blessing to you and pray for you about anything, please let me know and I will be more than happy to pray for you.  I also invite you all to share your art (any and all of it) in our challenges at Word Art Wednesday each week - always Anything Goes, and just wait until you see the amazing prizes we have again this week!

My Cup Runneth Over,
Karen
