V's Sweet Ideas New Challenge

It's a brand new month, February, the month of LOVE; and that means it's time for a brand new challenge at V's Sweet Ideas Challenge Blog.  Our theme for the month is "Red, Pink and White", and we're being sponsored by the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps.  The winner of our challenge this month will win three images of their choice.  For my card, I chose to use the very sweet Two Roses image.  I printed the image twice.  Once in a smaller size which I colored with my Copics and then water colored to give it a soft sweet look.  I glittered it lightly with ultra-fine diamond glitter and placed a little pearl accent sticker in the center of each rose.  Then, I printed the image a second time a bit larger and colored it the same way; but this time I cut out the image before decorating it, and I placed it in the upper right hand corner of my card as an accent.

I embellished my card using some supplies from V's Sweet Ideas including some Hug Snug Seam Binding - in Sweet Colors to compliment my card.  The patterned papers I used are all from October Afternoon.  The heart border punch (red and white gingham) is from Martha Stewart.  I did some machine stitching on my card, and left off the sentiment until I decide exactly what I'm going to do with this card.  Using Red, Pink and White is fun and easy; especially at this time of year when everyone seems to be creating Valentines.

As you can see, I haven't moved that wood log out of my back yard yet.  I rather like the photos I've been taking lately in the back yard using it, and the overcast weather we've been having really has been helping me to get some great photos.
