Scripture Bag

Hello friends!  I hope that you're all having a wonderful week so far.  I know that I have had a great week, and I praise God for all the blessings in my life.  Even for the simplest little things in life, I try to be ever grateful because the Lord is just SO GOOD to me.  Week after week, I am so inspired by the many lovely cards and projects you all make and share.  One really cute idea that sparked my interest a few weeks ago was a sweet little bag made by my Kraft Journal Co-Designer, Debbie Marcinkiewicz.  She made a similar bag to this one, and it really inspired me.  I always make sure that when I am using someone else's original idea, that I give them credit for the original design.  And with that said, THANK YOU DEBBIE for inspiring me on this little project.
The bag is actually a Cotton Drawstring Bag from the Kraft Outlet.  I tied some rusty bells to the ends of the strings, and the flower on the front is a Making Memories foam stamp.  I covered the stamp in two shades of pink acrylic paint and added a strip of washi tape to the bottom of the bag.  I adhered my scripture tag using Pink Baker's Twine and a Maya Road leaf stick pin.  I put some little candies in the bag.  It's really a simple project, and these cute little Cotton Drawstring Bags cost just $0.35 each.  That makes em' even cuter!!!   The Kraft Outlet has LOTS of great bargains and a wide variety of gorgeous goodies.  Treat yourself today, or stop by and play along in our "Tag Challenge" this week for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate.

I'm sharing my little Scripture Bag in the following:

Faith, Hope and Love Challenge Blog - Scripture Challenge #3 - My project uses the free word art available this week at Word Art Wednesday, and is from Psalm 17:15

City Crafter Challenge Blog - Challenge #203 - Spring In The Garden - I was inspired by the beautiful inspiration photo - the lovely flowers (my stamped image and the floral washi tape) and the leaves (my green leaf stick pin).  BEAUTIFUL inspiration photo to welcome Spring!

Mark's Finest Papers - Color Challenge #15 - Spring Colors - I used Spring theme (flowers and leaves) and my stamped image is the flower on front of the bag.

My Craft Spot by Kimberly - Challenge #129 - Pinterest Inspired Challenge - Spring Palette - Beautiful pinks and creams as we welcome Spring!

You are all welcome to stop by Word Art Wednesday and pick up this beautiful piece of scripture/word art and play along in our challenge this week.  And if you use scripture on your project, you can also enter it in the Faith, Hope and Love challenge I mentioned above.  It's always a great time to create a project using God's precious Word!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed week!
Karen
