5-Minute Card for Top Dog Dies

Hello, crafty friends!  Today I'd like to share with you how Top Dog Dies can make card-making and crafting a breeze with all the great wafer-thin dies they offer.  This month's new release was filled with GORGEOUS border dies and pretty petals.  Each month offers exciting new dies for every crafter, and yet....there are LOADS of "oldies but goodies" that will suit your every crafting need.  There are honestly dies that are perfect for EVERY crafter.  You will be amazed at all Top Dog Dies has to offer, and how much their lovely wafer-thin dies will spice up your projects with that special touch.

As many of you know, I've got a lot on my plate lately.  My Dad has late stage 4 colon cancer (along with all his other health issues) and is failing quickly.  I've been travelling back and forth, trying to finish homeschooling with my son, Andrew, taking care of my family, had surgery last week, WHEW!  That's a lot, and it doesn't even cover it all.  However busy we may get, there are still those times we want (or need) to create a card for someone.  Whether it's a sympathy card, birthday card, or any other occasion that finds you "under the gun" to create something in a hurry, Top Dog Dies has the perfect dies to help you create something special.....something truly beautiful, and it can be done quickly when needed.
For this sweet card, I simply took the lovely new Top Dog Dies Alaina Lace Border Die and cut it six times from a beautiful light turquoise blue card stock. I layered the six lengths cut from the Top Dog Dies Alaina Lace Border Die onto a cream base.  This quickly created a lovely background with great dimension and texture.  Next, I added some embellishments - this can literally be ANYTHING you have on hand.  For this card, I added a printed floral image from Crafty Secrets that I printed onto canvas, and a seam binding bow with a flower and pearls.  As I said, it was a 5-minute card, and yet it has such an elegant feel.  When I need that last-minute card, I can quickly add a sentiment (i.e. Sympathy, Birthday, etc.).  Because Top Dog Dies offers such high-quality dies that are truly wafer-thin and SO easy to work with, card-making becomes a breeze.  The Top Dog Dies Alaina Lace Border Die is just one of many gorgeous border dies we offer. We also have the gorgeous new Top Dog Dies Laurel Lace Border Die that gives a similar effect; yet has different cuts.  They're both just as lovely as can be, and will add SUCH a delightful accent to any card or project.

  7. What a beautiful card! So elegant! I browsed your blog (thanks for visiting mine!) and really love your style. Your use with pattern on pattern is so lovely. I tend to shy away from using different patterns but I see how you do it and I love it! So sorry to hear about your Dad. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I am your newest follower :)
