Top Dog Dies Tutorial

Well, if you're ANYTHING like me, you've probably got a growing stash of envelopes.  You know the envelopes I'm talking about......they're the ones that you either picked up at a garage sale, got from a friend who was "cleaning out" her cupboards, or some that you just COULDN'T pass up at a craft store.  I have found the PERFECT tutorial for making cards to match all those miscellaneous envelopes using the Top Dog Dies A2 Card #3 Die  - because it makes the absolute PERFECT small-sized card to finally use up all those envelopes you've been holding on to.  Here's all you need to do to create the perfect card for those envelopes.
Using the Top Dog Dies Top Dog Dies A2 Card #3 Die, you take a double-sized patterned paper (it isn't imperative that you use double-sided paper), and you fold it over so that it's doubled.  Then, you run the paper through your cutting machine on the rectangular side.  You will end up with a PERFECT 5 1/2" x 4" card.  No more wasting money on packages of note cards when you can make your own using this (which is one of several) amazing Top Dog Dies Card Dies.
The first one I made (above) is sort of a "journal" and has spots for journalling, notes and photos.  You can really be creative with these, and depending on the weight of the paper you use, you can make it sturdier for more permanent projects.
For this second card, I followed the exact same process.  In addition to the Top Dog Dies A2 Card Die, I also used the adorable new Top Dog Dies Butterfly Finishers Die Set to create the banner at the top (butterfly body), the sweet butterflies with movable wings, and the antennas and swirls.  The Top Dog Dies Butterfly Finishers Die Set has several versatile pieces to it that you will find many uses for in your crafting!
As you can see, I did use double-sided paper which really gives this card personality, and you're able to select papers and embellishments to exactly match the envelopes you're wanting to use.  The sentiments I've used are all rub-ons.  I also included a seam binding bow, some stick pins, and inking.
I hope that this quick little card tutorial has been helpful to you.  Top Dog Dies has several A2 Card Dies that you can use this technique with, and they will all work for making quick and easy cards.  We'd LOVE to have you stop by and check them out. You will LOVE Top Dog Dies quality and selection.

Thanks for visiting!
