Scripture, Stitching and Spiritual Uplifting

Many of you are aware of the struggles our family is facing right now as we pray to the Lord and ask for a miracle in my sister, Audra's life.  We have complete faith that God is able to do a miracle, and we give Him ALL the praise for the many ways He continues to bless us and answer our prayers.  Life has been incredibly busy to say the least.  But having the opportunity to create cards using scripture is such a blessing and a comfort at this difficult time.  God blesses and comforts my heart as I create cards using His precious Word.  So when I saw this challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs, I knew it was right up my alley, and that I would enjoy playing along.
Our Daily Bread Designs - Challenge #213 - Stitch It - Machine stitching is my most favorite accent on cards and projects,  and I really had fun with this one.  I used the ODBD Seed Packet Stamp Set to create this card.  I purchased it quite some time ago, and just never used it until now.  I stamped it in Black Soot Tom Holtz Ink, and used a kraft card background and added a Chatterbox patterned paper background that I machine stitched to the paper.  I colored the ODBD seed packet stamp with my Copic markers, and then machine stitched it all down.  I added a baker's twine bow with a button center.  I absolutely LOVE Our Daily Bread Stamps and dies, and it was SO therapeutic for me to create using the scripture and these beautiful stamps.

Faith, Hope and Love Scripture Challenge - Scripture and Celebration -  I am celebrating the fact that our AWESOME GOD is able to heal my sister.  We're waiting for a miracle, an we will praise His name in ANY circumstance.

Divas By Design Challenge Blog - Anything Goes - I was super excited to play along in this fun challenge, and I hope to make the rounds and meet their DT and make some new blog friends!

Scrapbook Blessings Club - Challenge #29 - Anything Goes - I haven't ever made a wiper card, but I'm certainly looking into it!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges - Make Your Own Background - I enjoyed making this background.  I used a stamp from ODBD and colored it with Copics.  Then I machine stitched it to a piece of kraft paper to create my background.

Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello and take a peek at my card.  I would really appreciate your prayers for my sister, Audra, as she fights for her life.  It's been one week today since they told her she had two weeks to live, and she's still strong (both physically and in her faith).  We serve an AWESOME GOD!

God bless you all,
Karen
