"Looky What I Got" With RRR

This week's SUPER FUN Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon is called "Looky What I Got", and course it ALWAYS includes RIBBON!  So, I thought I would share a super sweet (and a little bit sappy), but lovely gift that my dear hubby gave me.  We were at Hobby Lobby one day, and I saw these sweet little bottles with a chalkboard front.  So, while I wasn't looking, my hubby bought a few of them for me.  One day while I wasn't at home, he dug through my scrapbook room and found my rub-ons.  He took a white rub-on and rubbed it onto the chalkboard front.  You will notice that he ISN'T very good at this, but BLESS HIS HEART....he sure tried!  He originally planned to put it in my Christmas stocking, but he was SO proud of himself that he ended up giving it to me early.  Here is a picture of the bottle with his somewhat wonky looking rub-on.  Isn't he cute?
He told me, "I know you will do something cute with it".  Well, he was right.  I couldn't resist adding some ribbons and trims to jazz it up.  Another "Looky What I Got" thing I wanted to share were these fabulous miniature (6-inch) antique rulers I've been collecting.  My hubby also found me a few more of them for my collection, so I'm also incorporating them into my "Looky What I Got" project.  Here is one of the antique miniature rulers adorned with some Moss Green Leaves Ribbon, and a bow made from Juliet Natural Crochet Lace, Red Chevron Striped Twill, Sun Rose Seam Binding, Gingham Light Pink 3/8" Ribbon and Burlap With Brown Center Stitching.  I also placed some flowers in the center of the bow.
Finally, I decided to display some of my new antique 6-inch rulers in this sweet little jar.  Since he went to all this trouble to buy and decorate it for me, I really wanted to be able to use it for something to show my appreciation.  The rulers were a perfect fit!  I made a matching bow for the jar using the Moss Green Leaves Ribbon, Juliet Natural Crochet Lace, Red Chevron Striped Twill, Sun Rose Seam Binding, Gingham Light Pink 3/8" Ribbon and Burlap With Brown Center Stitching, and also placed some flowers in the center of this bow.  Here is the finished project:
So now you know what makes me say "Looky What I Got", and now we're all looking forward to seeing what each of YOU will share with us in this fun challenge.  Maybe it's just using a new product or tool you got for Christmas that you used on your project.  As long as you include ribbons, you are welcome to play along with us.  We look forward to seeing your creations.

Have a blessed week, and thanks so much for stopping by to say hello.
