RRR Shabby Pocket Card

Hello there, and thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you're having a wonderful week.  Today I'd like to share another fun pocket card for Really Reasonable Ribbon that I made using one of their sweet Kraft Middy Biddy Bags With Horizontal Stripes.  But, as I've mentioned before, don't let the term "Middy Biddy" make you think that these bags are small.  They are an impressive 5" x 7.5", so there's LOTS of room for tucking in photos, a letter/journaling, a gift card, or anything you wish to give someone for a special occasion.  They also make great party favors.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries several different styles of  Decorative Bags that are also perfect for your various projects - get creative.  This particular size Kraft Middy Biddy Bag is also perfect for making a mini album when turned on its side, placed with a few more, and bound together.  Well, why not?  They come in a package of 10 for just $2.75, so that could make you several mini albums AND a pocket card or two.  What a cute, versatile and SUPER economic product.  For mine, I simply folded up the bag half-way, machine stitched it down creating a pocket, and then covered it with some GORGEOUS ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
First, I ran a strip of 1 1/2" Jute Ribbon Natural across the top of the bag (below the pocket opening) and attached it with hot glue.  Next, I took our gorgeous Silky Crush Teal Ribbon and cut it down the middle into two equally-sized narrower strips that I tied into bows.  This Silky Crush Ribbon is GORGEOUS!  It comes in 16 different beautiful and vibrant colors, and is 1.5" wide.  It's great for making wreaths and bigger projects.  It's got an absolutely LOVELY sheen to it, and it's "crinkled" as well.
The next layer is a triple bow made with White Jute String, and its topped with a pink clear button.  I also added a vintage image, a tea-stained tag, a snippet of lace, and a pearl sticker.  These lovely Decorative Bags are so easy to work with, and Really Reasonable Ribbon has everything you need.....from Decorative Bags to buttons, ribbons, laces and trims and SO much more.

Thanks for stopping by my little piece of blog land today.  I really hope you enjoyed my pocket card, and that it inspired you enough to want to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store to do some browsing/shopping, and then come by to play along in the current challenge on our Challenge Page.

Before I sign off today, I just had to update this post.  I'm on vacation as I write this, and while I was antiquing the other day, I found this BEAUTIFUL antique hoosier.  I've wanted one for my craft room for SO long.  This one is "SOLD" (to me), and I can't wait to pick it up in July when we return to Minnesota for our daughter's wedding.  I will be the happiest girl once I have it fully restored and in my scrap room embellished and filled with all my antique cubby and cheese box organizers tucked into each sweet pocket holding my scrapbook supplies.  I'm SO excited, and am grateful for my sweet husband (who supports my endeavors) and to God for blessing me SO richly (in so many ways).
Blessings to you,
Karen
