As I've said so many times before (and you may have noticed from my excessive use of their products), I absolutely LOVE October Afternoon. This card was created with lots of great October Afternoon products including two different patterned papers and two of their adorable journaling cards. One is an Umbrella School Card, and the other is a "Remember" journaling card that I turned upside down. Don't ask me why, I just did!
This card was created based on a sweet sketch that I saw over at Sketch Saturday. I don't play along in sketch challenges very often because I just don't feel like I'm good at it. But I gave it a try because we're supposed to challenge ourselves, right? I like how it turned out. I inked my papers, and added a length (and bow) made from Red Chevron Striped Twill. I also added a button to one of the journaling cards and ran a bit of Oyster Baker's Twine through the button holes. Pretty simple card, really. This is the sketch I followed:
These are the challenges where I will be sharing this card:
Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog - Challenge #356 - Sketch Challenge
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog - Simon Says "April Showers and/or Spring Flowers" - I just LOVE this sweet challenge. This card focuses more on the April Showers, and has a cute Umbrella Journaling Card.
Craft-Dee Bowz April Challenge - Anything Goes With a Handmade Bow I've always wanted a bow maker, but for now I muddle through on my own.
Perfectly Rustics Challenge - Challenge #45 - Remember - You will see my REMEMBER journaling card (it's upside down) at the bottom of my card. We lost my sister in October, and I send all four of her kids cards every month with simple little reminders to help them (remember Mom).
