It's All In The Sentiment

The favorite part of every card I make is the sentiment I choose to put on it.  I was DELIGHTED when I heard about the current challenge over at "A Blog Named Hero" for two reasons.  First, it's a blog that is all about HERO ARTS, which one of my favorite stamp companies.  And second, because the challenge they have going right now is about "Making The Sentiment The Star" of your card.  What a fabulous combination.  I got to use one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps, which is called It's A Parade.  I love this sweet little stamp so much, and I've used it over and over again.
All I did to create this card was cut a piece of patterned paper, and then cut a slightly smaller piece of vellum.  I added the sentiment, which is a My Sentiments Exactly rub-on.  Then, I added the It's A Parade stamp at the bottom.  I attached the vellum to the patterned paper by punching a hole and running baker's twine through and tying a bow.  Then, the final touch was to add some sequins and gems to give it a little sparkle.

I am linking my card in the following fun challenges, and I hope you will come play along as well.

A Blog Named Hero - I used a Hero Arts Stamp (It's A Parade) and also added some Hero Arts Gem Stones.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Sparkle and Shine" - I added some sequins and gem stones to give my card a little "sparkle".

City Crafter Challenge Blog - Challenge:  Hemp and Twine Will Be Fine - I used baker's twine

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  It's always a tremendous blessing to me when I read the sweet comments you leave.  By the way, I'm celebrating my 50th Birthday today.  Woo Hoo!  Thanks so much for stopping by.
