Using Retro Rubber

I absolutely LOVE the idea behind "Retro Rubber" Challenge Blog.  They encourage you to pull out those long-neglected (but much loved) stamps that you haven't been giving the appropriate amount of attention they deserve.  I pulled out a couple of oldies but goodies for this card.
First of all, let me just say that I absolutely ADORE this color combination.  Blue, cream and red are just SO sweet together.  I used several different October Afternoon patterned papers on this card, a Chic journalling tag, some Hero Arts gem stones, sequins, mini paper clip, May Arts ribbon, a Melissa Frances rub-on (Best Wishes), and some machine stitching.  The two stamps I used are from Hero Arts (zip zag stamp) and Hobby Lobby (Happy Birthday).

These are the challenges where I am linking my card.  As I mentioned in my other blog post today, it's my 50th Birthday today.  Guess what I get to do.  I'm going to the doctor, and then grocery shopping.  Fun, huh?  LOL  All kidding aside, I'm VERY blessed, and so happy to be sharing this day with my family.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog - Challenge #19 - Inspire Me With Color - I absolutely LOVE this color combination.  I used two retro rubber stamps on this card.

A Blog Named Hero - I used a Hero Arts stamp (zig zag) and some Hero Arts gems on this card.  I've always loved this sweet Hero Arts stamp, and this challenge just reminded again me why I love Hero Arts SO much!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Sparkle and Shine - I used some gems and sequins on my card

Have a good one,
Karen
