October Fun at V's Sweet Ideas

Well, it's a brand new month; and at V's Sweet Ideas, October's new challenge is going to be "Spook-tacular".  We're having a new challenge that will run all month long, and you link up all your Autumn, Halloween, and other Spook-tacular projects that celebrate this time of year.  We hope that you will link up with us this month for your chance to win a gift certificate to V's Sweet Ideas.  This sweet store is just FILLED with sweet stamps, inks, and embellishments galore to help you get started on your next project.  In fact, V's Sweet Ideas is about to launch a new Stamp Release with all sort of sweet new stamp sets for all the upcoming holidays.  We hope that you will stop back by the blog to play along and get updates, and by V's Sweet Shoppe to check out all the new releases!
For my project this month, I created a "Spook-tacular" Pocket Card for tucking in some sweet treats to give my niece.  I used a sweet Notebook Biddy Bag from V's Sweet Shoppe that I turned into a sweet little pocket card by folding the bag half way up to create a pocket, covering it in some patterned paper, and machine stitching it in place.  I inked the sides of the patterned paper, and I wrapped several lengths of sweet Solid Twine in both Mandarin Orange and Green around it and tied them into a bow.  I made a coordinating tag that I tucked in the pocket, and added a stamped sentiment in Versa Color Black Ink, and added some lovely Sequins in Light CoralCoralChocolate Brown and Copper as well as some of V's Sweet Dots in Gold (from the Glitter Collection), and one Green one from the Christmas Collection.  There are so many sweet embellishments at V's Sweet Ideas, and I really hope you will stop by and check it out.  You will just love all the great things you'll find.

I'm sharing my little pocket card in the following challenges:

Scrappy Moms Orange & Brown Challenge - I used the new "Warts Up" Stamp Set from Scrappy Moms that I was sent for being a Guest Designer for them this month.  What a blessing to join them!

Color Throwdown - Color Throwdown #362 - This is a beautiful Autumn color palette, and I enjoyed playing along!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes"

Papertake Weekly - Take Your Pick - I chose to pick TWO - Autumn Colors AND Using Distress Inks.  I love using Tim Holtz Distress Inks on the edges of most everything I create, so it was only natural that I included it on this project.  I used the Tim Holtz Distress Ink called Marmalade.  Their sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp, and they carry all the great colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a blessed week!
