Like all of you, I sometimes fall into a slump and don't create for days. On the flip side of that, I sometimes get into a groove and just start creating like wildfire. Well, I went through quite a slump a week or two ago and didn't create anything in days. In fact, I didn't even step into my craft room. I shook it off, and got my mojo back. I've been unstoppable ever since. Now, I'm trying to finish up ALL my November and December Design Team assignments so that I can truly relax with my family for the holidays. I hope to have in all wrapped up within the next two weeks. Then, I can focus on other things.
This first card was created using lots of great new Crate Paper products. These are the ones I blogged about finding on vacatin this summer as well as at Tuesday Morning more recently. I've fallen in love with these lines, and can't seem to put them down. This one has Crate Paper Confetti patterned papers, stickers, a doily, a Studio Calico die-cut (thanks), a tiny rusty paper clip, and vintage scotch tape.
My second card is also made from Crate Paper patterned paper. I added a doily and stamped my sentiment onto that in black ink using a lovely sympathy sentiment from Inspired By Stamping. I added some vitnage lace, vintage sheet music, lots of great flowers and paper leaves, some Solid Wheat Baker's Twine, and two stick pins. I never seem to have a sympathy card on hand when I need one; and I've also got a craft boutique coming up soon so I really need to get a wide variety of different cards in my stash.
Inspired By Stamping - Challenge #99 - I used an Inspired By Stamping sentiment stamp (sympathy) as well as some of their lovely flowers. I chose to follow the FLOWER inspiration for this challenge.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Thanks/Thanksgiving" - My first card is a thank you card.
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. I'm so grateful to have you visit my blog.

Oh, Karen, I so "get" what you talk about when you get in a slump! I've been there, and we are there for many different reasons. But I'm so glad you've pulled out of it and decided to finish your DT work! And what beautiful cards! I so love vintage cards (but just don't do them well), but I truly love each one of these. I so love doilies and absolutely adore your floral arrangement on the second one. Each of these cards will be loved! I'm so glad you are doing all this to make time for your family during the holiday! Hugs, sweet friend!
