Hello there, all my sweet and creative friends! It's such a blessing this time of year as we feel the crisp chill of winter peeking in and making its way into our hearts.....preparing us for the wonders of Christmas and all it entails. My heart turns to my precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as I think about the precious gift He gave us. As we prepare for Christmas, let us not forget to always keep Him the center of our thoughts and plans.
I have created this card before. I originally saw it in CARDS Magazine, and it was made by the lovely and talented Melissa Phillips. Well, she is the hostess of this week's challenge over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, and this is the tutorial she is sharing. So, I thought it was time to create another one of these lovely cards. I just love them SO much. Tying all those fabric strips and ribbons onto a straw to create a sweet shabby little Christmas tree of sorts is just plain FUN!
I used lots of great May Arts Ribbons, laces, buttons, a paper straw, wooden stars, ink, patterned papers, vintage sheet music, and the sweet little Papertrey Ink tag which is hung with an adorable mini rusty pear-shaped paperclip and is stamped using their Tiny Tags stamp set.
I will be sharing my card in these challenges:
Nichole Heady's Papertrey Ink - Make It Monday Challenge - Fabric Strip Christmas Tree. I love this concept, and have had SO much fun with it. I used Papertrey Ink's Tiny Tags Stamp Set.
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Anything Goes"
Have a blessed week, and please consider giving this fun technique a try. Tied up with love, you will enjoy tying your strips of ribbons and trims onto a straw. It's easy, cute and fun!
Warm Wishes,
Karen
