A La Carte With Papertrey Ink

I've been out of town for about a week, and haven't been able to create anything, post, link, or participate in any way.  I've felt SO disconnected.  What a bummer, right?  But I got home VERY early this morning, slept for a few hours, and then started in with laundry, housework, schooling (with our son), and some crafting.  I got three cards finished.  One of which is this card that I created for this week's Make It Monday Challenge over at Nichole Heady's Papertrey Ink Blog.  This week, they're having their annual A La Carte Challenge; meaning that you can pick from any of the past year's wonderful themes.  I chose to create a garland using small die cuts, sequins and button twine.
I used ALL Crate Paper Confetti products, with the exception of the Papertrey Ink products.  I used Crate Paper patterned papers, ephemera, chipboard and a wooden piece.  I tied Papertrey Ink's sweet Ivory Button Twine through the tag, and also used it in my garland swag.

These are the challenges I was able to find where I could link my card:

Nicole Heady's Papertrey Ink Blog - Make It Monday #236 - A La Carte from 2015 - I chose to use Betsy Veldman's sweet Confetti Garlands Tutorial from Challenge #199.  I entered that challenge a few times (with some really cute cards, by the way) and never won.   In fact, I've NEVER won at PTI, but I still LOVE their products and enjoy playing along.  A girl can dream, right?  I used PTI's sweet Ivory Button Twine and their Heart Die (smallest heart in the set of 3) to create my garland.  I also placed a few extra small hearts here and there on my card.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Let's Party" - I made this sweet PARTY CARD using lots of great Crate Paper products that can be found at SSS.

Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party - Anything Goes for a chance to win some of Karen's sweet seam binding.  What a fun challenge.  Come and play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  It's always a blessing to have you visit, and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see what you've been creating this week.

Blessings to you all,
Karen

  1. What a sweet card, Karen! That little garland of mini die cuts is adorable, and you've made a lovely choice of papers and embellishments that add a sort of vintage feel. I recently won $75 from PI in December for commenting on their release previews. I couldn't believe it when I saw my name! I have played in several Make it Monday challenges and commented on dozens of releases and never been chosen. Maybe this is your time!

Thank you too for your wonderful encouraging comment the other day - it was 'God timed" and perfect for me at that moment. Won't say more, but be assured that the encouragement was timely.
