Thanks

Hello, my creative peeps!  I hope you're all having a great week.  I'm looking forward to the weekend.  How about you?  We finally get a weekend where we can just stay home and relax, so that will be fun.  Well, except for the whole Super Bowl thing.  That's totally NOT my "thing".  But the rest of the family enjoys it, so I will go hide in my craft room I guess.

I stopped at Hobby Lobby this morning where I picked up My Mind's Eye On Trend 6x6 paper pad.  I immediately fell in love with these super sweet papers, but didn't quite know what to create with it.  So, I found a beautiful card on Pinterest made by a talented card-maker named Stella.  You can see her (original) version of the card (the one that inspired me) here on Stella's Blog.  I put my own twist on it, of course, but the original design is all hers.  I just might have to pick up some of the On Trend embellishments for this sweet line.

In addition to the My Mind's Eye On Trend patterned papers, I also used a white doily, a gold Sweet Dot from V's Sweet Ideas, a Sizzix leaf die-cut that I cut from vellum, and some gold sequins.  The sentiment (thanks) is from Studio Calico and was cut from gold foil paper.  I really tried to keep it simple because these papers are SO pretty.
