Vintage Finds

As I've mentioned a few times, I created approximately 20 card while my BFF was visiting last month.  Two of the cards we created are these two which were made using some miscellaneous Crate Paper products.  I had found us each a set of Crate Paper chipboard at Tuesday Morning (quite a while back) for just $1.99 each, and they had all sorts of vintage chipboard pieces that we weren't quite sure how we would ever use.  So, PattiLyn decided that we needed to just "make it work" by creating some vintage cards using these unusal pieces.  We started with dress pattern paper that we machine stitched.
For this first card, I added a pink die-cut doily, some Crate Paper stickers and chipboard pieces, and the "Vintage Finds" sentient is a Papertrey Ink stamp.  I'm not sure who I'm sending this card to, or for what occasion, but I will use it at some point.  I just LOVE those vintage cat-eye glasses.  Don't they just take you back?
My second card again uses lots of great Crate Paper chipboard and stickers, as well as a Crate Paper brad.  I also added a Melissa Frances rub-on sentiment (thank you) down at the bottom.  The button card and quilt square were die-cut and stamped using Papertrey Ink die-cuts and stamp set.  They perfectly matched the vintage feel of this card, and it's always fun when you can incorporate elements from different companies that compliment one another as well as these do.  These cards are definitely different, but they're also kind of fun.  Don't you think?

These are the challenges I found where I can link up these "vintage finds".

DLART Thankful Thursday - Challenge #177 - Anything Goes/Thank You - My second card is a Thank You card (see bottom right).  This is one of VERY FEW cards I've ever made with no ribbon of any type.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I really do appreciate your visit.
