For Someone Special

As the sentiment says, this card is "For Someone Special".  I just don't know quite who that certain someone is quite yet.  LOL  My bestie and I were using up some old October Afternoon Farm Girl patterned papers, stickers and embellishments; and this is the card we came up with.  One thing I just LOVE about creating with her is that, even though we're making "the same card", our cards NEVER look completely alike.  Because our minds work so differently, we can use the exact same supplies, and our individual cards consistently each have their own, unique style.  It's really cool.  We have so much fun creating together, and our creative energy feeds off of each other.  We also get a lot accomplished because we continually  motivate each other.  One of us will come up with a concept, and the other will run with it.  Then, on the next project, our roles are reversed.  I just LOVE this!  The creativity never ends when we're together.  Well, that is until about 1:00 or 2:00 AM when we can't keep our eyes open any longer and we call it a night.
This card was created using lots of the sweet October Afternoon Farm Girl, some stickers, a journalling card, and the sweet stamped sentiment is from Inspired By Stamping.  I'm Guest Designing for them in August, and this is an extra card I created using one of their sweet stamps.  I put some pearl accent stickers on the flowers in her hat, and did some machine stitching in red. Isn't it sweet?

By the way.....(if you're actually reading this) my birthday is in five days (July 23) and I want some hand-made cards!  If you send me one, I will return the favor for sure.  I love sending out my cards to people, so let's see who shares my love of sending out their cards.  Just let me know if you want my mailing address.

Here are the challenges where I am linking my sweet country girl card:

Little Scrap Pieces - Saturday Linky Party - Come play along for a chance to win some of Karen's gorgeous hand-made seam binding.

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge "Create a Scene" - I created a farm yard scene.  Cute, huh?

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge "Flora and Fauna" - This card included a bit of both - the outdoors and animals.  What a fun challenge.  Thanks, Simon!

Thanks so much for visiting me today.  I really am grateful to have you stop by, and I hope you will say hello again soon.

Karen
