Praying For You

As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a Guest Design opportunity with Inspired By Stamping coming up in August.  I have had several of their stamps for years, and also got some new ones along with some of their die-cuts, papers, and crochet trims.  I created this card with one of my older stamp sets, but still a favorite of mine.
I used Crate Paper patterned papers, stickers, and ephemera pieces.  I inked the papers with  Tim Holtz Burlap Distress Ink, and stamped my IBS sentiment using a dark brown chalk ink.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch on my polka dot patterned paper (near the bottom), ran a couple lengths of Black Licorice Baker's Twice around my card, and added some sweet flowers by my bow.
There's also a sweet little chick which is a sticker from Crate Paper, and he's sitting on the bottom border of my card.  I put him on double-sided 3-D tape so that he would stand out a bit.  He matches the gold tones in my patterned paper and draws them out.  It really turned out soft and sweet.

I'm going to link up and play along in these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge - Simon Says "Things With Wings" - I added a sweet little yellow chick sticker at the bottom of my card.

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Simon Says "Add Some Texture" - I didn't like just the papers, so I added the twine, some flowers, and the 3-D bird to give my card more texture.

I'm so grateful for your visit to my blog, and I thank you for it.  If you leave me some love by way of a comment, I'll make sure to swing by your blog to say hello as well.

Blessings,
Karen
