Hello, all my creative peeps! Welcome back to my blog today as I share a sweet card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon. I recently picked up some beautiful "specialty" papers at Michael's. It's hard to see it in the photos, but this music paper is actually glittered. It looks so much prettier in real life, but I couldn't quite capture it with my camera.
Because the paper is so pretty, I didn't want to overwhelm it. I added two felt hearts that I layered using a stitched die-cut. On top of that, I added a big bow that I created with lots of great products from Really Reasonable Ribbon including bow made with a length of Ivory Seam Binding, Black Seam Binding, Black Burlap String, and 3/8" Black Gingham Ribbon. Then, I added some of Really Reasonable Ribbon's fabulous Mulberry Flowers including two Black Open Roses, a Deep Ivory Open Rose, and a 30 mm Green Mulberry Leaf. They look so pretty, and are always the perfect touch to any project.
I hand cut a little banner from ivory card stock that I stamped in Black Soot Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I added a couple of sequins here and there, but really kept the ribbons and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon as the star of this card.
Finally! This last close-up shot gives you a better look at the glittered texture of this "specialty" paper. It's real thick, too. The black and ivory ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon compliment it SO nicely. I can always find the perfect ribbons, trims, twines, flowers, leaves and more to embellish ALL my projects at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I encourage you to follow the links and stock up on some of your favorites. And don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now on the RRR Blog.
