Yo and Hello

I had a lot of fun making this card.  The lighting was, admittedly, not the greatest because I wasn't able to take my photographs of the card until late this evening when it had already started to get dark outside.  They do look a little bit "yellowed", but you can still get the general idea.  I created this card specially for a few specific challenges I had in mind, and I had a lot of fun incorporating the elements of each challenge into this one sweet card.
I used a piece of glittery specialty paper for the background, and then took a piece of vellum and pressure embossed it with a Cuttlebug music embossing folder that I ran through my Big Shot.  I love how the embossing looks on the vellum, and you can still see the music background through it.
On each of the two edges where I adhered the vellum, I ran a width a Debora Natural Crochet Lace.  I also tied a bow with the Debora Natural Crochet Lace, Gold Metallic String, and Black Burlap String.  I used a clear button that I ran Gold Metallic String through, and I placed it on top of my bow.
Here are the FUN challenges I had in mind as I created this card, and I'm delighted to play along in each of these:

Poppy Stamps Challenge #24 - September Challenge/So Boss - I used a Cuttlebug music embossing folder for my "so boss" element, and I also used the Hip Hello die in a creative way.  I used it once for the word "hello" and parts of it upside down for the word "yo" to come up with the sentiment "Yo & Hello

As You Like It Challenge Blog - Challenge:  Favorite Song/Film and Why - I chose the song "Hello" by Lionel Richie because this song was popular when my daughter was little, and she LOVED watching the music video that goes with this song, and she would sing along to it.  SO cute, and such a sweet memory.

Scrapy Land Challenge Blog - Challenge #49 - Anything Goes - I used a Poppy Stamps die for my sentiment (yo and hello).

Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog - Challenge #163 - Anything Goes With a Sentiment - I always like to include a sentiment on my cards, and this one says "Yo & Hello"

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I always appreciate your visits and the sweet comments you leave for me.  I look forward to visiting your blog to see what you all have been creating this week.  I hope you're having fun whatever you're doing!

Blessings,
Karen

The embossed vellum looks so great with the dp and how coll you kept the same motif. The touches of lace and ribbon are the perfect finishing touches.
