Winter Holidays (New RRR Challenge)

Welcome back to my little piece of blog land, everyone!  I'm so glad you've stopped by to take a look at my project.  Today starts a brand new FUN CHALLENGE at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and our theme this time is Winter Holiday.  That means you can enter anything having to do with the Winter holidays (as long as it includes some type of ribbon or spooled trim).  We can't wait to see what you will share with us.
I used a wooden spool for my tree base, and wrapped a small piece of Natural Burlap With Wired Edge in Red around it.  Next, I stuffed half of a cotton ball into the spool's hole, and placed a paper straw in there with a dab of hot glue to secure it.  Then.....the fun part!!!  I tied lots of Really Reasonable Ribbons around the straw to create my "Christmas Tree".
I used lengths of Debra Natural Crochet Lace, Burlap Center Stitch Red, Burlap Center Stitch Green, 2 1/2" Cotton Blend Holiday Snowflake Ribbon (cut into thinner strips), 2 1/2" Cotton Blend Ribbon (discontinued), Lipstick Red Seam Binding, Olive Green Seam Binding, Plaid Ribbon Red & White Houndstooth, Moss Green Gingham, and Canvas Color Band With Red Stitched Edge.  You can see again how Really Reasonable Ribbon's trims all work together to compliment one another.
Thanks again for stopping by.  We look forward to seeing your great projects.  You can enter the challenge right here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  It makes me so happy to hear your comments, and to see your sweet cards and projects linked with us.

Blessings to you,
Karen
