Hello and welcome by, everyone! Thanks for stopping by today as we start a brand new and SUPER FUN challenge at Paper Sweeties. Here is the inspiration photo for this month's challenge:
You don't have to use Paper Sweeties products in order to play along, but if you have any (and I really hope you've treated yourself to some by now), we always enjoy seeing your creativity in using Paper Sweeties' wonderful products on your art. For today's challenge inspiration project, I created two similar cards using the adorable With Love Sweet Cuts to cut my frame from kraft tissue paper, and the middle of the heart with pink gingham paper on my first card. I stamped the sentiment "Have a Sweet Day" from the Sweetie Pie Stamp Set, and Abigail is wearing an outfit from the Jelly Bean Time Stamp Set as she peeks through the With Love Sweet Cuts frame.
You will also see that I used some Bubble Gum Seam Binding to tie two bows to which I attached a small chipboard button tied with jute. At the top of my card, I tied a strip of Torn Cotton Canvas Ribbon. From the bottom of Abigail's dress, there's a bunch of cascading hearts which is from the sweet Somewhere Over The Rainbow Sweet Cuts. There's also a sweet little Cotton Candy Sequin on the heart. I just LOVE Paper Sweeties precious little cupped sequins......they're SO cute!
For my second card, I again used the adorable With Love Sweet Cuts to cut my frame from black card stock, and the middle of the heart with the kraft tissue paper. I stamped the sentiment "Hugs & Kisses" from the Sweetie Pie Stamp Set, and Abigail is wearing an outfit from the Jelly Bean Time Stamp Set as she peeks through the With Love Sweet Cuts frame. I accented the heart with a Black Cherry Sequin and my sentiment (Sending Sunshine) is from January's new Somewhere Over The Rainbow stamp set.
I tied a bow using some Black Licorice Seam Binding, gold twine, and tucked in a small snippet (piece) of a sweet Strawberry Paper Straw as an accent. Isn't that cute? Paper Sweeties carries several cute colors of Paper Straws that can be used in SO many different and creative ways such as this, and they're a bargain a one dollar per package. They are such a cute and versatile item.
Here's the complete list of everyone on the Paper Sweeties Team sharing projects with you today, and we all hope that you will stop by to see each of our inspiring projects, do a little bit of shopping at Paper Sweeties, and then come play along in this fun and sweet new challenge.
