Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop

Hello, sweet blog friends!  It's that wonderful time of the year once again that start to celebrate Christmas in the crafting community.  That also means that it's time, once again, for Lori Hairston's Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop; and I'm participating today on behalf of the Design Team at Paper Sweeties (one of the sponsors of this fabulous event).  Paper Sweeties is donating a $25 Gift Certificate to this fabulous event.  When I was thinking about the theme....Visions of Sugarplums.....I had all sorts of ideas running through my head.  And with all the ADORABLE stamps, dies and goodies available at Paper Sweeties, I knew I'd be able to come up with something sweet.
I started by cutting a wool felt mitten in cream (twice) to create a pocket, and running a piece of frilly tulle trim across the top.  Next, I cut and tied two bows using Frosting Seam Binding.  On top of that sweet bow, I placed a Red & White Chenille Candy Cane topped with Marshmallow Sequin.   There are some candy sticks tucked into the mitten pocket.
I cut the scalloped circle in cream wool felt using the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts and topped that with a sugarplum candy.  I cut the small tag in green wool felt again using the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts, and I topped that tag with a sugar-sprinkled cupcake that I stamped using the adorable Homemade For You Stamp Set, and I stamped the sentiment on a smaller tag using the Homemade For You Stamp Set.  These sweet sets can be used separately or when combined with other Paper Sweeties sets.  They're all SO sweet and help you make the most precious treasures!
Be sure to visit the Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop on Lori's Blog each day to see all the fabulous inspiration and to play along.  Debbie and some of my friends at Paper Sweeties also have projects to share with you, and you can find Debbie's sweet project and all my talented teammates' links on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  All of us at Paper Sweeties want to wish you all a happy and blessed Christmas Season.....with Visions of Sugarplums!  Be sure to leave a comment on Lori's Blog and each blog along the way.  Your named is entered based on how many comments you leave during the Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop.  You have until December 9 at midnight to leave your comments.  Here are some friends sharing their Visions of Sugarplums.
In addition to the Visions of Sugarplums Blog Hop, there is also a Visions of Sugarplums Challenge taking place now through December 16.  You can enter your Christmas projects on Lori's Blog for your chance to win a special prize.  Don't miss out on all the fun and inspiration!

Sweet sugarplum wishes to you,
Karen
