Simon Says Stamp's 9th Birthday

Well, if you're anything like've been enjoying Simon Says Stamp for 9 years now.  Between their amazing Design Team Members giving us inspiration every week, their fun challenges and blog hops with amazing prizes, to their amazing products.....we all LOVE Simon Says Stamp.  With that said, when I saw that for their 9th Birthday celebration they are offering not just one, but NINE prizes this week (one for each year they've been around), I just knew that I wanted to play along.  But then again, I usually do.  I just LOVE me some SSS.

I made all three of these cards with October Afternoon products.  October Afternoon was (and still is) one of my all-time favorite companies.  While they, sadly, are out of business now and not creating any new lines, I still own enough OA to keep myself going for many years to come.  In fact, I used to attend their annual warehouse sales in Apple Valley, Minnesota and purchase even more of their products every year.  Yup, I'm set with the OA.

All three of these cards are primarily October Afternoon.  However, if you have any questions about any particular items I used, just leave me a comment and I will pop by your blog to let you know where you can find it.  That is, all but the OA which is now very difficult to find.  I just love the retro feel of this amazing company and I still get sad when I think about them being closed and not offering anything new.  They really were one of the sweetest companies ever....and fabulously friendly owners.

I'm so grateful that you've stopped by to say hello, and I hope you're having a great week.  I have a houseful of company and I'm going, going, going all the time.  Perhaps next week I can just sit on my duff and relax...LOL!

Here's where I'm playing along:

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Blog - Happy Birthday

Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge Blog - A Trio of Something - In honor of SSS celebrating their 9th Birthday, I decided to share a trio of cards.  I also used a trio of antique bottle caps (one on each card), a trio of image stickers (one child on each card), and a trio of colors - one red, one blue and one green.

Crafting By Designs - April Challenge - Anything Goes - I did stamp all the different Happy Birthday sentiments found on each card.
