She's Turning 11 Already!

Welcome by!  For those of you who know me well, you may be aware that I have a VERY special niece, Alexa, who I am SUPER close with......and believe it or not, she is turning 11 next month!  It's hard to believe how quickly the years are flying by, and I know she'll be grown before I know it.  This may be one of the last  years (if not THEE last year) I'll be able to make and give her a card this "girly" and juvenile.  So.....I'll take advantage of it while I can.  I'm very grateful that she is a "young 11" and is still very innocent, which I love.  As I've mentioned before, Alexa grew up speaking both English and Russian, and she can speak, read and write fluently in both.  She's truly an AMAZING young girl, and I just LOVE her to death.  We are very close.  In fact, she gives me FaceTime calls on a regular basis, and is always stuck by my side when I visit her in Minnesota.  She stays with me pretty much 24/7 for my entire stay up in Duluth.  I'm SO looking forward to seeing her next month for her 11th Birthday celebration.
I made Alexa's card using an adorable line from Crate Paper called Oh Darling; including the patterned papers, stickers, chipboard, wood pieces, etc.  I have an abundance of this line, and I always enjoy using it to make sweet "Girl" cards.  While this card has A LOT going on, I knew that it pretty much had to in order to satisfy Alexa's super FUN style.  She will especially love the 11 I created using some clear acrylic numbers from this Oh Darling line.  I stamped the sentiment using an old favorite stamp (My Crafty Spot - now closed).
Other than the stamped image, inking, vintage scotch tape and machine stitching, every single thing used on this card is from Crate Paper Oh Darling line.  It's just SO girly and fun, and while it's a super busy card, it is SO Alexa.  I know she will love it.
I thank you, once again, for stopping by my blog today.  If you are not yet a follower of my blog, I would REALLY appreciate you taking the time to become a new follower.  I'd be happy to stop by your blog and follow you as well.  Just let me know.  It means so much to hear from you all.  Hope you're having a happy and blessed day!

Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - June: Anything Goes - I used lots of fabulous Crate Paper patterned papers from their sweet Oh Darling line.

Stamplorations Blog: 5th Birthday Celebration!  - I enjoyed Deepti's cards so much, and the sweet pastels in her first card blew me away!  I used that color palette to create this sweet birthday card for my niece.  I also enjoyed hopping around to see all the designers' cards and leave them some love.
