Be Thankful With Reverse Confetti

Welcome to my blog today, sweet friends!  It's always a BIG treat to have you stop by, and today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card I created for my dear Sister-in-Law.  Here's the story behind my card.  We were talking the other day, and she shared with me how frustrated she feels when she spends oodles of money on Christmas gifts for her grandkids and then having to say that they're "from Santa".  We had a great talk about the spirit of giving; especially at Christmas.  So, with our conversation in  mind, I created this card to remind her that it's such a blessing that we are even blessed enough to be able to afford to spoil our grandkids; and that even though we don't always get "the credit" for it, we need to just be so thankful that we can do it for them.  I added a Melissa Frances rub-on at the top which says "Be Thankful" and a chipboard sentiment at the bottom which says "Santa Baby".  It's just a fun reminder to her about our conversation.  I hope she enjoys it, and also hope that it reminds her that we truly are SO blessed and need to always give thanks.  There are so many people who aren't as fortunate, and my heart goes out to them; especially at Christmas.

My card was inspired by the GIVE THANKS challenge taking place now on the Reverse Confetti Blog.  I used the awesome Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cuts with October Afternoon patterned papers for the two circles that I placed onto a piece of October Afternoon grey woodgrain patterned paper.  This awesome Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cuts is such a wonderfully versatile set that I use a whole lot.  I added a Prima chipboard Santa, some pastel Double Head Stamens, and a bow tied with Seam Binding.  On the edges of my card, I added touches of paint sprinkled with glitters.  I hope that we can all remember that Christmas is all about GIVING and being THANKFUL.  Whether you can give a little or a lot, just be sure to count your blessings and give THANKS for all that you are able to share with others.  Even the smallest gestures of kindness can mean so much to others.

Thanks so much for visiting me.  It really does make me happy, and I appreciate your friendship, your comments, and your inspiration in blog land.  I am SO THANKFUL for you all.  Have a blessed Christmas, everyone!

Reverse Confetti Blog - THANK YOU - As explained above, my card is all about being thankful for all the blessings we can give to others at Christmas time.  And as I assured my SIL, those grandkids will most definitely be saying THANK YOU when they see those gifts.
