Life Is An Adventure - RRR

Welcome by my blog today, friends.  Thanks for visiting as I share a fun card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used some fun patterned papers and chipboard (camper) that I picked up at Tuesday Morning....always great bargains there!  The patterned papers are from  and the chipboard is.  The sentiment (Life Is An Adventure) is from Paper Sweeties.
I ran a length of the lovely Fuchsia Wrinkled Ribbon down the center of my card.  I bundled some Ivory Burlap String and Navy Burlap String and layered that with some peach magnolias from the Magnolias Mixed Pastels and several navy sweetheart blossoms (from the Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms Mixed Blues), peach sweetheart blossoms (from the Mixed Peach/Orange), and some Miniature Ivory Sweetheart Blossoms.
There are so many gorgeous Mulberry Flowers at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and as you can see on this card; they accent our stamped images so nicely.  I almost framed the journalling spot with my cascading flowers on this card,  I could have gone completely crazy and put them everywhere...like a garden.  But I tried to use some restraint....LOL.  You're always sure to find the perfect ribbons, trims and embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blessings,

Karen

God Always Keeps His Promises

Hello there, and thanks for popping by today.  I'm sharing a pretty card today that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using a few of their GORGEOUS products.  I completely realize that there are OODLES of stores out there for crafters, and that we have SO many wonderful choices.  I will say this......I've never encountered any other place where I can find the most GORGEOUS Mulberry Flowers, Leaves,  Burlap String, Twine, Ribbons, Adhesives, Embellishments, and so much more all in one place.  Ribbons, in general, give our projects rich dimension and texture.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has GREAT prices (including reasonable shipping rates), and an AMAZING selection of beautiful products.
I used some Farmhouse patterned papers and button/journalling card from October Afternoon  to create my card base.  I stamped the sentiment (God Always Keeps His Promises) in green, and used a few Tim Holtz miniature staples.  Then.....the fun part - the RIBBON treatment.  I bundled up a length of Olive Green Burlap String and a length of Lemonwood Stripe Baker's Twine.  Next, I tied two bows using the Yellow Gingham Ribbon (found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment) and added those.  I also laid some Yellow Double-Head Stamens, Baby Blue Double-Head Stamens, White Double-Head Miniature Stamens, and Matcha Green Double-Head Miniature Stamens.  I topped all that loveliness with some Yellow Open RosesAutumn Gold Open Roses, some Blue Sweetheart Blossoms and a 30mm Green Paper Leaf.
You may also notice that I tucked in an antique (very vintage) button as well as a darling little White Acrylic Flower from our awesome Embellishments section.  I can always count on Really Reasonable Ribbon to have the PERFECT ribbons, trims, flowers, etc. to match everything.  They truly have it ALL when it comes to taking your cards and projects to the next level.  Why not treat yourself today?  We're always happy to have you stop by at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Something Sweet With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, sweet friends!  Welcome by my blog today, and thanks for visiting me as I share a fun project that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using several of their amazing products.  I used an old kraft Coffee Bag that I'd forgotten all about. So, I pulled it out and decided to fill it with some yummy bubble gum flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans as a cute gift.  No cuter way to decorate than with all the amazing products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I ran a width of Ivory Natural Crochet Lace across the top of the bag, and stamped a miniature tag with the word LOVE.  I attached that tag with a dab of hot glue along with a length of Gold Metallic String, a White Mulberry Leave, and some Mixed Pink Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.  There are so many beautiful Mulberry Flowers, Embellishments, Twines, Trims and.....well, you'll just have to see for yourself - there's SO much to see at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Down at the middle left of the bag (right by the window showing those yummy jelly beans) I added some more "fluff" to my project by adding a gold puffy heart and pink leather tassel (both are Crate Paper products), and then layering some bundled Ivory Burlap StringGold Metallic String, and Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.  Then, I also tucked in some Milk White Miniature Stamens, and some Pink Miniature Double Head Stamens.  SO sweet!
Thanks again for stopping by, and please visit me again soon - I just LOVE having visitors.  By the way...in just TWO short days (Saturday, the 13th), our July Blog Hop will start.  Be sure to join us for that; as one lucky person will win this month's AWESOME Ribbon Club Assortment.  I'll look forward to seeing you there!

A Glorious Fourth w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Happy Indepence Day to our BEAUTIFUL country (in just a few days).  There's no better (crafty) way to celebrate than with RIBBONS and patriotic accents from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used a nostalgique/vintage piece of ephemera as my focal point for this card.  It's attached to a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper with strips of Scor-Tape; and I also used the Scor-Tape to attach the navy blue doily die-cut that I slipped underneath the focal image.
I bundled some Ivory Burlap String with some Red Miniature Stamens, Navy Miniature Stamens and Ivory Miniature Stamens and placed that on the doily area.  Next, I tied bow with lengths of 1/2" Navy Winkle Ribbon and 1/2" Red Wrinkle Ribbon and attached those side-by-side atop the bundled items.  The next items I added were some Red Open Roses, Royal Blue Open Roses, Ivory Open Roses, as well as one White Bead Berry Cluster.
Over on the right-hand side of my card, you'll see a cute Red Plaid Covered Button from our Embellishments Section.  Underneath that, I tucked snippets of White Crochet Lace and Navy Micro Gingham.  They're topped with some Mixed Blues Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.
There are SO many cute accents at Really Reasonable Ribbon in addition to all their amazing ribbons and trims.  I hope you'll stop by to do some shopping to celebrate the 4th of July!

Thanks for visiting,
Karen

"You Got This" - Coffee

Hello, friends!  If you're here at my blog today, I surely do thank you for the visit.  I had a chance to create a card, once again, that was just for fun.  No Design Team assignments or pressure....just me in my craft room having a little fun.  I hadn't pulled out my fun old October Afternoon patterned papers and stickers, etc., in a while; so I put some together and machine stitched them to create my fun card base.  It's easy to see why I've always loved October Afternoon and why I have such an extensive stash of it.  I chose a coffee-themed card today because I was inspired by the new challenge over at Mod Squad.

The coffee mug, its sleeve, and the fun sentiment are from a Joy Clair stamp set called Coffee Lovers.  I use this set quite a bit, and I love the coffee cups and fun sentiments in this set.  The ribbons, seam binding, baker's twine, stamens and sweetheart blossoms are all from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They always have the perfect accents for every project.

I put two October Afternoon journalling stickers together to create a space for stamping the sentiment.  I also stamped the coffee beans from this fun stamp set. as well as the different steam stamps that are coming out of the coffee cup.

I also used the patterned papers for the coffee cup by stamping it several times (on different patterns) and paper-piecing them together.  I did also do some coloring with my Copics.   It's never a stretch for me to make a coffee card, so this challenge was a great one for me to be inspired by.   I love giving them to all my coffee-loving friends and relatives....especially when we're meeting for coffee.

Here are the challenges that inspired me and where I'm  linking up my coffee card:

#COFFEE With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello there, blog friends!  Welcome by blog today as I share a card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using just a few of their (many) FABULOUS products.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries, of course, the best and most extensive collection of ribbons, trims, laces, twines and every spooled garnish you can image as well as GORGEOUS Mulberry Flowers, Stamens, Mulberry Leaves, Adhesives, Embellishments, and....Oh My!
Since today is the last day of the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, I thought I share one last coffee themed card to enter in this amazing blog hop.  Have you been participating?  I used some pretty patterned papers from a Carta Bella line called Spring Market, and I attached them using strips of a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  Then, I ran a width of a lovely Natural Crochet Lace across my card.  The journalling card is from October Afternoon, and the sentiment (#COFFEE) is from a stamp set called Tackle Life One Cup At A Time, and the images (cup and coffee beans) are from a stamp set called Coffee, Yes Please.  As always, RRR had all the PERFECT trims and extras.
To adorn my card, I bundled lengths of Ivory Burlap String and Olive Burlap String, added a cut of Green Center-Stitch Burlap Ribbon, and a piece of Debra Natural Crochet Lace topped with some Pink & White Miniature Double-Head Stamens, Green Sweetheart Blossoms and a Mixed Purple Sweetheart Blossom.  These soft sweet touches add SO much to my card, and are just so lovely to look at on our cards.  Why not treat yourself to a few new things today?
Oh, and by the way...I've also shared (quite) a few tags and cards today on Instagram for the Coffee Hop if you'd care to take a peek (there's just one shown above).  I am in DESPERATE need of FOLLOWERS on my Instagram and Twitter (if you'd care to follow me, I'll surely return the favor).  Thanks!  Don't forget about the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop in just THREE DAYS.  It starts on Monday, May 13, and you won't want to miss your chance to win the lovely Ribbon Club Assortment.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to see you again soon.

Wait Patiently - Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello and welcome by!  I'm sharing a sweet little card today that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon; and as always, I was able to find the perfect Ribbons and Embellishments to match my patterned papers.  Really Reasonable Ribbon carries SO much more than ribbons.  You'd be surprised (if you're not already familiar) to see all the amazing Adhesives, Embellishments, Mulberry Flowers, Hair Accessories, Twines, Laces and all there is at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Here's what I came up with to share with you today.

I used some patterned papers that are from the Pretty Party line by Crate Paper (an old favorite of mine).  I attached the patterned papers with strips of Score-Tape and die-cut a background to lay over that.  I stamped my sentiment onto a coordinating paper tag and inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  And then.....the fun part!

I bundled a generous length of Ivory Burlap String and topped that with a Two-Tone Red & White Open Rose, and accented around that with orange and teal flowers from the Open Roses Pastel Assortment.  One (of the many) things I love about the Open Roses is that they come in various sizes to accommodate each and every project.  This particular card uses the 10mm Open Roses.  Be sure to stop by the RRR Blog often to see all the wonderful inspiration from my talented teammates.  There's always something wonderful at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Blessings,
Karen

Really Reasonable Ribbon April Blog Hop

Hello!  Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon April Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here by way of Cheryl's Blog; but if not, you can get caught up quickly by visiting the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for all the details.  As we do each month, my teammates and I are sharing projects made with this month's GORGEOUS Ribbon Club Assortment.  Take a look at these amazing trims.
So, for today's Blog Hop I decided to make a Mini Bridal Album.  It's a great little gift to give a bride-to-be, or brand new bride.....or even, a "older" bride like me.  Just a super cute place to display a few small wedding photos.

As I often like to do, I used glassine bags to create this little album.  I love that by using bags and envelopes, you get natural "pockets" for tucking in photos, etc.  I added a photo mat/journaling card that you will see sticking out of the back pocket of my little album.
The album was created using a Crate Paper line called Portrait; and it matched this month's Ribbon Club Assortment so nicely (as the RRR assortments always seem to do with all the lines I use).  On the cover of my album, I used an ephemera piece from this Portrait line by Crate Paper as my "title" per say.  Next, you will see that big beautiful bow made with lengths of 5/8" Charcoal Shimmer Satin5/8" Daffodil Shimmer Satin, Ivory Burlap String, and it's topped with some lovely 10mm Yellow Open End Roses, 15mm Parma Gray Open End Roses, and a 20mm Black Open End Rose.
Above you will see the first inside page (left) where I simply added a few strips of patterned papers and a few trims, including the 5/8" Daffodil Shimmer Satin and 3/8" Metal Gray Satin Swiss Mini Dots, to create the banners/flags as a border at the bottom left of this page.  I also added a small piece of washi tape just above the papers/ribbons to secure them for the long run.  RRR has lots of great Adhesives such as Score-Tape and 3-D Foam Tabs, to help you really hold together your treasured projects.  I use Really Reasonable Ribbon's Adhesives all the time on my projects.  They're awesome!
This next page, which is the inside right (Page 2) is covered with the same patterned papers using pieces of Score-Tape and I also added a small pieces of the 5/8" Charcoal Shimmer Satin, and 5/8" Daffodil Shimmer Satin, just as a small touch of color and texture.  You can also see my photo mat sticking out of the pocket (to the right).  I didn't pull this all the way out to photograph it (because I'm lazy) but I'll list all the trims I used.
This final photo is the back cover of my Mini Wedding Glassine Bag Album.  I added a small piece of the 3/8" Metal Gray Satin Swiss Mini Dots, and you can also see the back side of my "tucked inside the pocket" photo mat peeking out to reveal a length of the 3/8" Yellow/Gray Chevron Stripes Grosgrain Ribbon and a tiny rusty paperclip.  That's about it.  Your next stop on this hop will be at Kathy's Blog.  Don't forget to leave comments along the way, and then answer the final question on the RRR Blog so that you'll be entered to win this month's Ribbon Club Assortment.  Pretty....pretty......PRETTY!!!

Blessings to you,
Karen
