Celebrate Baby...New Life

I'm so happy you've stopped by today.  This is one of those days that I'm posting something just for fun.  No Design Team assignments, no time limits, and no particular reason for creating.....just got a burst of energy late last night and decided to pull out these Simple Stories Oh Baby supplies I picked up last time I was my favorite scrapbook store in the world, The Pine City Scrapbooking Co.  I've only made a couple cards with this line so far, and I'm already thinking that I want to get a bit more of it.  You can find some of this sweet line at Simon Says Stamp.  Isn't it cute?
I used an ivory base and attached some of the sweet patterned papers from this line.  I also added a white doily, some ephemera and stickers from the Oh Baby line, and a long length of Teal Baker's Twine.  The stamped sentiment (Celebrate Baby) is from a set by Stamp Simply Clear Stamps that's called Farmhouse All Occasions Greetings.  I think the only other things I didn't mention yet are cute little pearl embellishments and the extra little strips of various patterned papers that I inked and cut into flag/banner strips and added with a miniature rusty paper clip.  You know me....I never know when to stop.
I just love everything about this sweet Oh Baby line, and I'm so glad I grabbed it when I did.  I'm so glad that I can still order more of it cuz I'd sure be bummed if I couldn't get a bit more.  The patterned papers are so sweet, so I know I'll be getting at least the 6x6 paper pad...and perhaps a few other goodies.  It's just too cute!

Thanks again for visiting.

Thankful For Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello to all my ribbon-loving creative friends, and thanks for stopping by today.  I created this quick little card for Really Reasonable Ribbon using some October Afternoon patterned papers from my stash that I adhered together with strips of Scor-Tape.  I ran a length of Mimosa Yellow Seam Binding across my card, and also used it to tie a sweet little bow. I added some wool felt flowers and leaves, two stick pins, a Green/White/Yellow Mulberry Leave, some Red Double Head Mini Stamens and Grey Double Head Mini Stamens.
I added a small journalling tag with a stamped sentiment, some machine stitching, a piece of flair (Fresh Eggs pin), a small button with Ivory Burlap String tied through its middle, and a Two-Tone Yellow Open Rose to the bottom right of my card.  I always enjoy the warmth and texture found in all of the products at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  They add SO much personality to my cards, and they'll do the same for yours.   Give them a try, and treat yourself today by taking advantage of the big AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE taking place now.
You can read all the details about the After-Christmas Sale taking place now in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store, by stopping by.  And, be sure to stop back by the RRR Blog often for lots of great inspiration, our monthly Blog Hops, and to learn about special sales and promotions.  There's always something FUN happening at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Paper Sweeties December Celebration

Welcome by, everyone.  I hope you've been enjoying every day in December with Paper Sweeties.  If you missed any of the fabulous inspiration from Days 1-22 before you arrived here today, you can see the complete list on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  This is also where you can learn about special sales and promotions, see all the latest products, and find out about any special challenges or give-aways. There's always something extra sweet and fun going over at Paper Sweeties.  In hopes of inspiring you today, I've made this sweet multi tag set using several of my Paper Sweeties Christmas favorites along with the fabulous new Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set and the coordinating Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts.  I really hope you've already ordered yourself a set before they're gone.   I know this is a set I will use over and over again.  It's just SO sweet.
I can't seem to put down this ADORABLE new truck and tree set from Paper Sweeties.  I've had so much fun creating with this new Merry Christmas Y'all set, and I know that you will love it too.  I stamped the truck and colored it in blue for this project.  I stamped it with the #noel sentiment found in the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Stamp Set.  I also stamped and cut the holly berries and ivy found in the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Sweet Cuts.  The larger tag is cut using the For You Sweet Cuts.
Using the Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet CutsI cut the tree from deep green wool felt three times, and I layered them with 3-D tape to give this tree extra depth and dimension.  I cut the tree trunk from a wood-grain patterned paper and inked it with Mud Pie Brown Ink.  I also added some miniature rusty paper clips to  my tags.  ALL of the products found at Paper Sweeties are adorable, and work so well in combination with all the goodies they carry.  Sweetness and creativity await you!
The holly ivy and holly berries were stamped and cut using the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Stamp Set & Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Sweet Cuts, and I attached some ribbon snippets.  The large tag itself was cut from wood-grain patterned paper using the tag found in the For You Sweet Cuts.  This is a super versatile and basic tag that I use a lot - all year long.  It's a highly useful die-cut that (along with all Paper Sweeties Cuts) are able to easily cut through paper, fabric, felt, materials, etc.  As you can see....I also created four smaller tags.  These smaller tags were cut using one of the four sweet tags found in the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts.  This is another wonderfully useful tag set, just a bit smaller than the For You Sweet Cuts tag.

I used paper scraps, and added the holly berries and ivy from the Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Stamp Set.  Each sentiment (Faith, Hope, Joy and Love) was stamped using the sweet new Merry Stamp Set released last month.  Adorbs!  And don't you just LOVE all the cute hashtag ### sentiments at Paper Sweeties?   SO cute.
I sure hope you've been stopping by Paper Sweeties every day this month so that you won't miss any of the excitement and fun, but if you missed anything just stop and by and follow the links to all the amazing inspiration.
How adorable are those sentiments from the Merry Stamp Set or the holly and ivy from the sweet Meet Me Under the Mistletoe Stamp Set......SO adorable!   I just love all the sweet products found at Paper Sweeties, and you will too!  These simple little tags turned out SO cute using these darling products to adorn them.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, and for leaving me some love.  It's greatly appreciated.  You really will love all the fun, excitement and inspiration happening at Paper Sweeties this month; so be sure to stop by often.

Blessings,
Karen

Sweet Tags With Really Reasonable Ribbon

It's so nice to have you visit today, and I hope you enjoy this sweet little tag set I created using some more of the wonderful products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon, including a few of the trims found in this month's awesome Ribbon Club Assortment.  It's fun to demonstrate just how much pizzazz you can give your projects by adding some simple trims.
I cut small pieces of ribbon from the Ribbon Club Assortment to give my tag that POP of fun it needed.  Once I had cut my tag and pieced together my patterned papers with Scor-Tape, the ribbons really gave this little tag the perfect "finishing touch".  From the Ribbon Club Assortment, I used a piece of White Crochet Lace, 5/8" Porcelain Diamond Satin, 3/8" Snowflake on Silver Grosgrain, and 3/8" Porcelain Satin With Silver Edge.  I also tucked in some Aqua Baker's Twine, White Double-Head Stamens, Baby Blue Double-Head Stamens, and a piece of chipboard.  Each of the sentiments that were stamped on my three tags (Love, Hope, Believe) are from a set called Merry.  At the very bottom, I attached a Tim Holtz pin which displays several sweet 11mm White Heart-Shaped Flatback Pearl Beads.
For my second tag, I used the same concept; but this time I attached different ribbons to its tail end including a length of White Crochet Lace, 3/8" Red Gingham and Center-Stitch Turquoise Burlap.  I tucked in some Miniature Red Double-Head Stamens and  several Miniature White Double-Head Stamens.  I also attached a Red Open End Rose and a Tim Holtz pin holding several 11mm White Heart-Shaped Flatback Pearl Beads.
My third and final tag is quite similar in style, but is adorned with lengths of Red Center-Stitch Burlap, Aqua Plaid Ribbon and  Red/White Houndstooth Plaid Ribbon.  If I forgot to mention this, each of my tags has a piece of the sweet White Crochet Lace found in this month's Ribbon Club Assortment (there's usually one lace per collection) so that's yet another great thing about the Ribbon Club, is that you're always stocked with all the perfect laces, ribbons and trims for every occasion.
I really hope that these three simple tags I've shared have helped you see just how much pizzazz and fun you can add to any project with a few fun trims and supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks so much for stopping by, and don't forget the RRR December Blog Hop starting tomorrow!

Blessings,
Karen

More December Christmas Card Fun

Welcome by today, friends!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at this card I made to celebrate along with Paper Sweeties this month.  There are special sales and promotions, new products, lots of great inspiration, and of course the ADORABLE Paper Sweeties Shop where you can find the sweetest of things!
Have you SEEN this adorable new set?  It's called Merry Christmas Y'all and it's my new Christmas FAVORITE!!  I can't seem to put it down.  Seriously!  I'm absolutely smitten with it; and guess what.....it comes with matching Sweet Cuts (coordinating dies for the truck and tree).  I used just the Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts to cut the two green trees from wool felt.
I stamped the cream wool felt tree using the Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Sweet Cuts; which was always my favorite until the new set came out.  And now...I simply LOVE them both!   I cut the white tree and stamped it with the adorable tree found in the Meet Me Under The Mistletoe stamp set.
The adorable sentiment (JOY) was stamped using the new Merry Stamp Set which is the cutest sentiment set.  Oooohhh....it's lovely!  I also added some Cookie Dough Sequins to my trees, and I added a little bow to the chipboard piece using a length of Cookie Dough Seam Binding.  The yellow stars at the tops of all my trees were cut using the star found in the Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Sweet Cuts.
There are so many fabulous products at Paper Sweeties to help YOU create something extra sweet.  Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to visit the Paper Sweeties Blog to see all we have going on this month.  You won't want to miss one single day of the Paper Sweeties December Celebration.

Paper Sweeties December Fun

Welcome by my blog today, and thanks so much for visiting me as I share an extra sweet Christmas card I created using some of the brand new stamps and sweet cuts (dies) from the adorable new Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set and coordinating Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (dies) available now only at  Paper Sweeties.  My Design Team Members and I are hoping that the projects we share this month will inspire and excite you SO much that you'll be compelled to stop by Paper Sweeties and treat yourself to this perfectly timeless, classic Christmas set to enjoy for years to come.  We need to remember to treat ourselves occasionally, as well as buying for others during the holidays, and this is a must-have set that you use over and over again (as I know I sure will).
To create this sweet card, I stamped the truck from the Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set onto red paper, and I embossed it in black.  Next, I colored (added more red) using my Copics.  I ran the coordinating Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (truck die) through my Big Shot and trimmed the truck a bit.  I attached the truck to my patterned paper base, and I covered everything including the truck, its tires, the bed of the truck, the background, etc. in "snow" (white paint) and ultra-fine glitter.  I hope you'll click on it for a closer look.  It's really cool with the felt tree and the fake snow.
The sweet Christmas tree was cut from a deep green wool felt using the adorable Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (tree die), and the felt gave it a nice warm texture.  As I mentioned above, I also covered the tree in white snow (paint) to recreate the look of a  tree cut fresh from the woods and hauled away in the old red truck.  It really gives that warm Christmas memory or feeling, which nicely compliments the sweet sentiment also found in the sweet Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set.  How adorable is this new set?  And I haven't even used all of the sweet stamps found in this set yet.  This card showcases just a few.  Like I said.....a true classic Christmas must-have set.
Don't forget about all the excitement you'll find every day this month on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  You really won't want to miss a thing.  From myself, Debbie, and the entire Design Team at Paper Sweeties; we wish you a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.....and we really hope that you will stop by to share in the BIG "December Sweeties Celebration" with us this month at Paper Sweeties.

Karen

I'm sharing my card here:
ChouxChoux Paper Art - Lori Hairston's Visions of Sugarplums Challenge #2: Home For Christmas - My sentiment is "Home For the Holidays" and that's exactly what this card reminds me of and helps me to fondly recall.  Our homes always feel "homier" once the tree is up; and that allows us to feel at home for Christmas no matter where we are.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - "Wrap It Up" is Simon's theme this week.  This scene of picking out the perfect tree, throwing it in the back of your old red truck, and taking it home to set up...tells the story and sets the scene for Christmas.  Under the tree is where we placed all our wrapped packages, and I know I always feel good once we've "Wrapped it Up" with our tree picking, hauling, and set-up.  LOL

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Simon Says "B is For...." on this challenge.  So, my answer to that is...."B is For BRINGING Home The Tree".  This is such an important part of Christmas in every home.

Paper Sweeties & Winter Coffee Hop

A warm welcome today to all my coffee-loving blog friends.  I hope you're enjoying the  2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop; and thanks for stopping by to take a peek at this sweet little Winter coffee tag I created for the event on behalf of Super Sponsor, Paper Sweeties.  If you haven't yet seen the brand new December Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set and Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (coordinating dies).....OH MY!!!  You're gonna LOVE this set.
I have an ADORABLE card using this sweet new set that's scheduled to go live December 8, and another on the 22nd; and I hope you'll stop by to see them both.  In fact, there are inspirational projects using this sweet new set - along with all of the fabulous products from Paper Sweeties - being shared every day this month on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  We hope to inspire you and excite you, and hope you will stop by Paper Sweeties each day for this special December Christmas event.

My tag showcases the Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts which I used to cut the tree from a deep green wool felt and touched with "snow" (paint) and glitter.  I also used the Merry Christmas Stamp Set to stamp the adorable sentiment (Home For The Holidays) onto a journalling sticker and placed it under the tree onto the tag.  It's a simple tag, but it shows you just how amazing this new set really is.  I know it's a set that I will use every Christmas moving forward because it's just so classic and fun.  The coffee cup at the bottom can be found in the Tackle Life One Cup At a Time Stamp Set.  I stamped it onto dark brown wool felt and cut it out.  Paper Sweeties also carries LOTS of darling coffee-themed products.

You can see all the fabulous inspirational projects and all the amazing products available now by visiting Paper Sweeties. Thanks again for stopping by to say hello, and I'll look forward to visiting you to see all your sweet coffee projects.

Have a blessed day,
Karen

There's Nothing Quite Like Ribbons

Welcome by today, ribbon-loving friends!  Today I'm sharing this sweet little card and treat box I created using some of my favorite products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  We obviously all love making cards and crafts; but in doing so, we quickly learn that there is no sweeter touch we can add to our projects that is quite like RIBBONS!   And....Really Reasonable Ribbon is the perfect place to find all the perfect ribbons, trims, twines, laces, and SO much more to help you create something wonderful.
My card was put together using some of my October Afternoon stash.  I attached some of their sweet patterned papers, ephemera, stickers and flair using lots of Scor-Tape and some 3-D Foam Tabs.  Yes, in addition to all the fabulous trims, Mulberry Flowers and Embellishments, Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries several different Adhesives that will securely hold your projects together for the long run.  Once all my other elements were securely in place, I was able to really step up my card with even more of the great products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I ran a width of Ivory Seam Binding across my card and then I tied a bow with that and a length of Red Wrinkle Ribbon.  I also cut some holly leaves from green wool felt, and topped that with some Red Miniature Stamens, some White Miniature Stamens and a Flair button.  I tucked in some bundled Ivory Burlap String which is yet another FABULOUS trim carried at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It comes in over 15 different colors, and costs just ten cents ($0.10) per yard and yet it adds SO much to your projects.
You will also see that I put together an adorable little Truffle Box.  I love to make truffles at Christmas time to give to friends, and these sweet little boxes are the perfect size for one truffle.  I added a piece of Ivory Burlap String, Lipstick Red Seam Binding (another one of my most favorite items - especially around Christmas), and a length of Moss Green/Cream Plaid Ribbon to accent this little gift.  And finally, it's topped with an adorable White Sweetheart Blossom.  Pretty, pretty, pretty!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and please be sure to visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon store to pick up some goodies for yourself.  I mean, after all, your name should appear on your Christmas shopping list, too.  Right?

Blessings,
Karen

Paper Sweeties New Release Rewind

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've enjoyed my Paper Sweeties New Release projects using the adorable new Merry Stamp Set.  But....if you missed my other projects, or my teammates' projects, you can see my New Release Sneak Peek and my New Release Day Celebration posts by clicking on the highlighted links.  Today, as we wrap up the new release from Paper Sweeties, I decided to share a sweet little Christmas tag.
I was smart enough to create my New Release Sneak Peek and New Release Day projects pre-surgery.  However, I failed to create my project for today until now.  And because I'm very limited with what I'm able to create with one arm, I chose to make a tag.  You'll probably even notice (in the close-ups) that my embroidery isn't on point either.  My apologies, friends.
The good news is this.....with Paper Sweeties adorable stamps, dies and more, it's impossible to create anything less than SUPER cute because their products are so very sweet.  We know you will love everything you buy from Paper Sweeties, and that you'll have endless fun creating with their high-quality, super adorable products.
I used the For You Sweet Cuts (adorable tag die) to create my tag.  It's cut from muslin; as is the sentiment piece (inside oval).  I used the Oval Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts to cut the muslin for my sentiment.  I stamped the word JINGLE using the new Merry Stamp Set, and then I straight-stitched over the stamped word with a deep red DMC floss.  The outer part of the Oval Scallop Frame Sweet Cuts was cut from green wool felt.  I also added some Sugar Sprinkles Sequins and some vintage baker's twine.  Sweetness!  Here are my teammates who have something AMAZING to share with you today:

I'm sharing my Christmas tag here:

Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags - This tag was inspired by two people (ideas).  One was my Sweeties teammate, Lisa Golzbein, on Day 6, who gave me the idea of using our scalloped frames (but I used oval rather than rectangle).  I was also inspired by the talented Jennifer Jackson (and a few of her teammates) from Newton's Nook on Day 5 using their cute new ornament die.  I was drawn to the empty oval space in the centers of their ornaments where they added their sentiment/focal point.  I combined those two inspiring tag elements to come up with mine.  I've been so inspired by this event.

It's Release Day at Paper Sweeties!

Hurray!  It's finally time for the FABULOUS new release at Paper Sweeties, and that means you are able to purchase the AMAZING new Merry Stamp Set as of today.  You will absolutely LOVE this sweet new set....not only at Christmas time, but all year long.  In fact, yesterday I shared a sweet wedding card using this lovely new stamp set.  If you missed that post, you can see it here
Today I'm sharing another card I created with the new Merry Stamp Set.  This one uses the cute sentiment FA LA LA.  I also added a library card that is stamped with Jingle All The Way and Abigail.  I stamped pretty Abigail and picked out a Winter outfit and shoes for her from the Holly Jolly Holiday Stamp Set.  I also added the holly and berries found in our Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Stamp Set, and cut them with the coordinating Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Sweet Cuts.
I added some red baker's twine to my card as well as some Strawberry Sequins, Green Apple Sequins and Sugar Sprinkles Sequins.  The candy cane in Abigail's hand is also from the Holly Jolly Holiday Stamp Set.  You see, all of Paper Sweeties products work together and compliment one another so well.  You will absolutely LOVE everything at Paper Sweeties.
Here's the link with links for all my Paper Sweeties teammates who have something special to share with you today.  There's always something wonderful to find at Paper Sweeties, so I hope you'll stop by often for inspiration, shopping, new products, and so much more!
Blessings,
Karen
