Something Sweet With Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, sweet friends!  Welcome by my blog today, and thanks for visiting me as I share a fun project that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using several of their amazing products.  I used an old kraft Coffee Bag that I'd forgotten all about. So, I pulled it out and decided to fill it with some yummy bubble gum flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans as a cute gift.  No cuter way to decorate than with all the amazing products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I ran a width of Ivory Natural Crochet Lace across the top of the bag, and stamped a miniature tag with the word LOVE.  I attached that tag with a dab of hot glue along with a length of Gold Metallic String, a White Mulberry Leave, and some Mixed Pink Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.  There are so many beautiful Mulberry Flowers, Embellishments, Twines, Trims and.....well, you'll just have to see for yourself - there's SO much to see at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Down at the middle left of the bag (right by the window showing those yummy jelly beans) I added some more "fluff" to my project by adding a gold puffy heart and pink leather tassel (both are Crate Paper products), and then layering some bundled Ivory Burlap StringGold Metallic String, and Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.  Then, I also tucked in some Milk White Miniature Stamens, and some Pink Miniature Double Head Stamens.  SO sweet!
Thanks again for stopping by, and please visit me again soon - I just LOVE having visitors.  By the way...in just TWO short days (Saturday, the 13th), our July Blog Hop will start.  Be sure to join us for that; as one lucky person will win this month's AWESOME Ribbon Club Assortment.  I'll look forward to seeing you there!

Until then,
Karen

Stamping With Joy Clair

I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog today because.....guess what?  Today I'm sharing two fun cards that I created for Joy Clair Stamps using some of the New Release along with some of  my older favorites.  I always have so much fun playing/creating with my Joy Clair Stamps.  They are such high-quality, clear acrylic stamps that give me crisp, clear lines every time.  Of course, I do like to use my Misti stamping tool now that I've found it (don't know how I ever lived/stamped without it), but I'm never disappointed with the quality of my Joy Clair Stamps.
For my first card, I used a piece of simple white cardstock, a stencil, oxide inks, and some acrylic paints to create my background.  Next, I stamped the image of the girl as well as the sentiments using the new Proverbs 31 Woman stamp set.  I just LOVE this set, and my teammates have made some of the coolest cards with it.  I do hope that you stop by the Joy Clair Blog often for inspiration.....I'm surrounded by SO much talent on this team.  I love seeing their creative ideas.  Anyway, I finished up this card with some washi tape, a couple of sequins, and a tiny little rusty paperclip.
My second card has a story to it.  You see, I have a friend who is incarcerated; and I love to write to her.  I've stamped small images on the edges of the letters I write, and it's always been ok.  Well, back in May I pushed my luck a bit too far.  In the upper left-hand portion of the first page of her letter, I stamped the antique truck from our AWESOME new Friends & Flowers stamp set.  As you can see, I colored it with my Copics.  BIG mistake!  The letter was returned to me because of the markers.  So....I cut out the truck (this is physically the one from her letter - and if you look closely, you can see that it was stamped onto lined notebook paper) and placed it on this card.  Couldn't bare to waste it after that long story...LOL.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment using the Reckless Love stamp set.
The word BLOOM that I stamped on the license plate of the car is also found (along with lots of other fun words and sentiments) in the Friends & Flowers stamp set.  All of Joy Clair's wonderful stamps work together and compliment one another.  I've been working on my embossing skills (they're rather lacking) so I took a close-up photo of my handiwork.  It's definitely improving, but still has a long way to go.  I'ii take all the tips I can get.
Well, I sure do thank you (again) for visiting my blog today.  Your visits always mean SO much to me, and I'm grateful beyond words for any comments that get left.  I read each one and cherish everyone's thoughts and time.  I also like to visit your blog to say hello, so please be sure to leave me a comment.
I do hope you'll take a moment to check out Joy Clair Stamps...whether it's their Custom Stamps, the stamps I've used today, or any of their oodles of awesome stamps.  You won't be disappointed with what you find at Joy Clair; and there's always LOTS of fabulous inspiration.  Hope to see you there soon!  Oh, and before I run off....here's a special sale taking place now, and I'm sharing a code for you to SAVE 30% on your order.
Have a great day!  Blessings to you,
Karen

You're A Catch

Welcome by today!  I'm glad you're here and I thank you for visiting me.  This is a sweet little tag I created this afternoon - just for fun.  I used the new Sea You Soon Stamp Set from Paper Sweeties to stamp the sentiment, oyster and seahorse.

I tied a bow with some sweet tulle, and topped that with a bow of Bubblegum Baker's Twine and a mermaid scale embellishment.  I colored the oyster and seahorse using Copics as well as some applied with Glitter Ink applied with Fantastix.  These images in this new set are all SO cute.  I had fun making this tag, and have fun playing with the Paper Sweeties New Release in general.  Thanks again for stopping by today.  Here are the challenges where I'm playing along:

A Glorious Fourth w/Really Reasonable Ribbon

Happy Indepence Day to our BEAUTIFUL country (in just a few days).  There's no better (crafty) way to celebrate than with RIBBONS and patriotic accents from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used a nostalgique/vintage piece of ephemera as my focal point for this card.  It's attached to a piece of Simple Stories patterned paper with strips of Scor-Tape; and I also used the Scor-Tape to attach the navy blue doily die-cut that I slipped underneath the focal image.
I bundled some Ivory Burlap String with some Red Miniature Stamens, Navy Miniature Stamens and Ivory Miniature Stamens and placed that on the doily area.  Next, I tied bow with lengths of 1/2" Navy Winkle Ribbon and 1/2" Red Wrinkle Ribbon and attached those side-by-side atop the bundled items.  The next items I added were some Red Open Roses, Royal Blue Open Roses, Ivory Open Roses, as well as one White Bead Berry Cluster.
Over on the right-hand side of my card, you'll see a cute Red Plaid Covered Button from our Embellishments Section.  Underneath that, I tucked snippets of White Crochet Lace and Navy Micro Gingham.  They're topped with some Mixed Blues Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms.
There are SO many cute accents at Really Reasonable Ribbon in addition to all their amazing ribbons and trims.  I hope you'll stop by to do some shopping to celebrate the 4th of July!

Thanks for visiting,
Karen

Clear Scraps & Joy Clair Stamps

WELCOME by today, everyone!  It's so nice to have you visit today.  You're going to LOVE this fun project I created for Joy Clair Stamps and our friends, and partners this month, Clear Scraps.  Each of my talented Design Team Members and I will be featuring projects this month that incorporate some awesome products from Clear Scraps along with Joy Clair Stamps.  I sure had A LOT of fun creating this fun little "Bedside Stand" to share with you today.
This stand was actually created using a Clear Scraps product called Vintage Phone Stand; and it was designed for you to decorate it and use it to place your phone on (while you're charging, sleeping, crafting, etc.) but.....I decided to decorate it using the Heir Of God Stamp Set and give it to my niece for her to place her rings and earrings on at night (or her phone if she prefers).  The little shelf/ledge that's built in to this Vintage Phone Stand can be used for a variety of things; but this was what I decided to do, and I sure like how it turned out.  What are your thoughts?
Using the new Heir of God Stamp Set, I stamped the castle twice and the crown once, and colored them with my Copics.  I attached some colorful pieces of tulle netting behind the crown to give it a pop of color and fun, and a pink heart gem.  The sentiment on my Vintage Phone Stand is also from the wonderful new Heir of God Stamp Set and I embossed it in silver to match the images.  Just like there are oodles and oodles of fabulous stamps at Joy Clair, there are oodles and oodles of wonderful products at Clear Scraps.  We sure had fun creating with both this month, and we think that you will too.  I know that I'll be ordering more of these Vintage Phone Stands.  Aren't they fun?
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Be sure to stop back by the Joy Clair Blog often this month to see all the wonderful inspiration from my teammates using both Joy Clair Stamps and Clear Scraps.  And don't forget about all the FABULOUS New Release stamps and Custom Stamps available now at Joy Clair.  Happy stamping!

Paper Sweeties June New Release Rewind

Hey friends!  Welcome back by today.  If you were here on Friday, you saw my "sneak peek" by way of my cute Mermaid Wishes card.  And if you stopped by yesterday, you saw my fun Sea You Soon card.  So today.....I'm sharing a fun card that incorporates both of the new stamp sets from the Paper Sweeties June Release along with a few of my other favorite PS products.
There's the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set and the new Seas The Day Stamp Set and Seas The Day Sweet Cuts (dies) for the darling seahorse, octopus, fish, crab and oyster.  The possibilities with these new sets, as with all Paper Sweeties sets, are endless and exciting.
How fun is this card?  There's a lot going on here......so, I'll try to mention everything.  I stamped Abigail and cut her out with the Abigail Sweet Cut, and then colored her with my Copics.  Her outfit (top and mermaid fin) are from the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set, as are the starfish, small shells, seaweed and sentiment.  The backgrounds were cut from papers and wool felt using the Rectangle Scalloped Frame Sweet Cuts and the Oval Scalloped Frame Sweet Cuts.  I also added a Marshmallow Sequin and the rainbow from Somewhere Over The Rainbow Stamp Set.
The oyster image can be found in the new Sea You Soon Stamp Set and I used the coordinating Sea You Soon Sweet Cuts to cut out the oyster.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Here are the links to my talented Design Team Members' blogs where you'll see LOTS of sweet inspiration.

These sweet new stamp sets and coordinating sweet cuts are available now at Paper Sweeties.  I know you'll enjoy anything you decide to purchase from Paper Sweeties.  It really does bring sweetness and fun to crafting time.  Thanks again for stopping by, and have a great day,
Karen
OK.....wait!!!  Don't run off just yet.  After I had my posts for this month all ready to roll....I started playing with these fun products again.  They're just SO much fun to play with, and it was just too hard to keep my hands off of them.  I picked up from my concept on the Mermaid Wishes card I shared Friday; but this time I decided to have Abigail coming out the other side of the chipboard life ring (upside down).
The large glittery oval was cut using the Oval Scallop Frame Sweet Cuts.  There's also a bow that tied with delicious Bubblegum Seam Binding.  There's a cute "fish scale" stamp in the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set that I stamped on Abigail's fin as a guideline for the Stickles I applied.
I also want to say, straight forward, that Abigail's outfit (top and bottom and even hair bow) were stamped and cut from the same piece of paper using the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set.  I know that they don't look like the match when you see these pictures, but I promise that in real life, they are exactly the same.  I guess it's just how the light hits them differently.  This really has been a FUN release, and I do hope you will stop by Paper Sweeties to look around and become familiar (if you're not already).  Go ahead and embrace YOUR inner mermaid with us this month at Paper Sweeties.  FUN!!!  - Have a blessed day, Karen

It's Paper Sweeties June New Release Day!

Today two new sets are available at Paper Sweeties.  The new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set and the new Sea You Soon (which I'm featuring today).  My background was stamped using the sentiments "you're a catch" from the Sea You Soon Stamp Set along with the word LOVE from the Merry Stamp Set using Aqua Ink Pad.
I cut the background spots using the smallest piece from the Circle Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts and colored them to coordinate.  I stamped the fish, sea horse, octopus and crab from the new Sea You Soon Stamp Set and colored them using Fantastix and oxide inks.  The seaweeds are from the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set.  They're topped with a few Marshmallow Sequins and Robin Egg Sequins.
I hope you'll stop by my teammates' blogs to check out their inspirational projects using these two new sets.  Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great day,

Paper Sweeties June New Release Sneak Peek

So today is Sneak Peek Day at Paper Sweeties; which means that we're showing everyone just a little peek at the June New Release stamp sets and sweet cuts (dies).  The card I'm sharing today really does give you just a little peek at one of the new stamp sets called Mermaid Wishes.  This card will also give you a peek into the theme of these two new sets.  Both new sets include several adorable images, accent stamps and sentiments for  creating mermaid, seashell, sea creatures, and underwater fun that never ends.
I used a piece of sparkly cardstock for my base and added several pieces of patterned papers, ephemera, chipboard (life ring) and stickers from a Crate Paper line called Poolside.  I stamped the mermaid tail from the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set onto the same sparkly cardstock and cut it out using the coordinating Mermaid Wishes Sweet Cuts (dies).  I placed it on the chipboard life ring so that you just see her tail sticking out of the water.  You'll see the rest of Abigail - one of the "sweeties dolls" at Paper Sweeties - on Sunday for my last PS blog post this week.  I added two (layered) Robin Egg Sequins to my card for extra sparkle and fun.  The sentiment I used (sending oceans of love), along with several others, are found in the new Mermaid Wishes Stamp Set.
I also decided to stamp on the inside of my card to add a birthday sentiment.  This shows you how easily all of Paper Sweeties products can work together as each compliments the next so perfectly.  These (inside) sentiments, as well as the adorable balloons, can be found in the Wishing You Stamp Set.  My mailing envelope (not shown) is also stamped with the fun images from the Wishing You Stamp Set.
I'll be sharing a card here on my blog tomorrow highlighting the new Sea You Soon.  I hope you'll stop by to see that as well.  I always enjoy your visits and appreciate your comments.  Here's the list of my teammates who have prepared some inspiration for you today:

Have a great day.  I hope to see you again tomorrow.
Karen

I'm playing along in the following:

Feeling Slothy With Joy Clair Stamps

Hey there, stamping crafty friends!  Today I'm really excited to share another fun card and treat bag with you all using one of the (many) fabulous New Release stamp sets from Joy Clair.  I love ALL the new stamps, but for today's project I'm using the wonderful new Feeling Slothy Stamp Set.  I decided to make a card and gift set using this fun new set, and I sure had fun doing it.
I used a stencil and inks to create my background.  Then, I painted a wooden "tree" that I die-cut from chipboard using green, oranges and bright pink acrylic paints as well as a touch of ultra-fine glitter.  I stamped the adorable sloths found in the Feeling Slothy Stamp Set and colored them with my Copics.  I positioned the sloths up in the tree.  The sentiment is also found in this same new Feeling Slothy Stamp Set, along with several other adorable sentiments.  Aren't the sloths, limbs and leaves, and coffee cups just SO cute?
I had so much fun creating this card.  All of the stamp sets in the New Release are SO wonderful.  There's sure to be something that will fit nicely into your craft room.  Joy Clair carries SO many fabulous stamp sets in just about any and every theme you can image.  Take a moment to look around at the New Release, and ALL the other fabulous stamps at Joy Clair.
I also decorated a little brown paper bag (with caramels inside) by using the same stencil to create my background, and using a smaller piece of the wooden piece that I painted.  I tucked that adorable sloth up in the tree.....he's just hanging out and feeling slothy. He looks so comfy up there!  This Feeling Slothy Stamp Set is SO much fun.
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to visit the Joy Clair Blog often for all the incredible inspiration this month using Joy Clair's fabulous stamps.

Karen

I'm playing along at:
Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge Blog:  Anything Goes

Cuttlebug Mania:  Orange You Glad - I used my Cuttlebug Die-cutting/Embossing Machine and Cuttlebug B plate and C plate to cut the branches/flowers I used.  The die-cut was not a Cuttlebug brand.  Because I cut them from scraps of chipboard, I also needed to use my Cuttlebug Metal Shim to get a clean cut.  I painted the die-cut branches/flowers with acrylic paint, and added just a touch of glitter.  These die-cut branches/flowers made the perfect place for my sloths to "hang" out.

Trucks & Teachers: Joy Clair Stamps - New Release

Welcome back by today, all our stamping friends!  Today it's my turn to share some inspiration for you using some of the FABULOUS New Release Stamp Sets from Joy Calir.  While there were many new sets released last month, I haven't had the opportunity to create will ALL of them yet; but I'm sure having fun as I do.  For today, I've created a couple really fun cards that feature two of the New Release Stamp Sets.
I used some October Afternoon patterned papers and stickers on these cards.  I just LOVE that wooden ruler paper.  In fact, I love all things October Afternoon and I'm so sad that they went out of business.  However.....that didn't stop me from using these super FUN patterned papers on these cards.  For this first card, I stamped the ADORABLE pick-up truck found in the new Friends & Flowers Stamp Set
Isn't this truck stamp AMAZING?  I colored everything using my Copics, and then I fussy cut the truck and added it to my card base using 3-D tape to give it some additional dimension.  (I now wish I had embossed it in black, but anyway.....) I stamped one tiny sentiment (Good Times) inside the license plate of the truck, and stamped a larger sentiment (Have A Blessed Day) onto a journal flag at the top left.  Both of these sentiments (and the truck) are from the Friends & Flowers Stamp Set.  A bit of baker's twine, and some flowers....done!  Joy Clair Stamps makes it easy.
On my second card, I used the similar patterned papers and stickers.  I stamped the coffee cup twice that's found in the new Teacher Stamp Set, and I staggered the two coffee cups.  The "Thanks A Latte" sentiment is already on the coffee cup sleeve.  I also stamped a sentiment flag (again at the top left of my card) and for this card, I used the sentiment "You Make Learning Fun" which is also found in the new Teacher Stamp Set.  Much like all of Joy Clair's fabulous stamps, these new stamp sets contain awesome images and sentiments that can be used all year long.  And they're SO cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you've been enjoying the Joy Clair New Release; but if you've missed any of the fabulous inspiration, you can see everything now on the Joy Clair Blog.  We love having you stop by!

Blessings,
Karen
