Paper Sweeties August Sneak Peek

Hello friends and welcome by today as my friends at Paper Sweeties and I share some peeks at the DARLING New Release that will be available as of tomorrow in the Paper Sweeties Shop.  The new Cupcakes & Sprinkles Stamp Set is such a delicious set.  I can't get enough of it, and I'm sure you can see why.  These cupcakes turn out SO cute that they almost look good enough to eat.  I think I consumed a few calories just making my sweet card.
Using the new Cupcakes & Sprinkles Stamp Set, I stamped the adorable cupcake several times.  I also stamped the cupcake wrapper onto patterned paper and used the coordinating Cupcakes & Sprinkles Sweet Cuts to cut out the cupcakes, wrapper, toppers, etc.  I "frosted" all the cupcakes and wrappers with some chunky pink glitter, and added some Robin Egg Sequins, Bubblegum Sequins and Marshmallow Sequins to these sweet cupcakes.  Aren't they absolutely delicious?   YUM!!  This fun set is way too sweet to resist.
I used the Scalloped Square Frame Sweet Cuts to make the scalloped square frame.  I outlined that in the same chunky glitter that I used on the cupcakes.  The sentiments (batches of love AND sending you sugar, spice and everything nice on your birthday) are also all found in the new Cupcakes & Sprinkles Stamp Set.  The little banner was placed on a Mint Paper Straw and was stamped onto a tag found in the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts.  The Mint Paper Straw is topped with Bubblegum Seam Binding and Raspberry Seam Binding.  How SUPER sweet is this new set?
There's also a darling new sentiment set being released tomorrow that's called Best Day Ever which includes 20+ sentiments/words that can be used to help you personalize your cards for everyone in your life, and I'll be showcasing it tomorrow.  Thanks again for stopping by.  Here's the list of all my talented teammates who have created something sweet to inspire you using this darling new Cupcakes & Sprinkles Stamp Set.  Please stop back by again tomorrow for more inspiration on Release Day.  There's always lots of great inspiration, darling new products, and lots of fun at Paper Sweeties.  And...because we're celebrating our 7th Birthday at Paper Sweeties this month, there's lots of extra excitement on the Paper Sweeties Blog so be sure to stop by often.

Have a BEE-autiful Day

Welcome by!  I hope you're having a BEE-autiful Day!  When I saw the new challenge over at Moving Along With The Times, I just KNEW that I wanted to play along.  You see, I got a new bee stamp set a while back from Honey Bee Stamps, and I hadn't used it yet.  This fun challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to pull it out and use it.  I also used a cool bee-hive type die-cut from Darice which I have used before; but it was so perfect for this card that I just had to incorporate it into this card.  It's similar to this Hexagon Cover Plate Die, but mine is by Darice.  Once I had my base together with the die-cut honeycombs, I stamped the bee hive, bees and swirls from the Bee Hive Stamp Set from Honey Bee Stamps.
I colored the images with my Copics, added a few yellow prills, and the sentiment I used is from a Paper Sweeties stamp set.  I couldn't find the exact stamp I was looking for.  I just knew that I wanted to create this card because I love the BEES and just hadn't had the opportunity to use this sweet new stamp set yet.  I love how it turned out.
Here are the challenges where I'm sharing this fun little BEE card.  I hope you're having a creative week as well.  I look forward to getting some projects done this weekend while my boys are busy with work, hockey, and other "guy things".  You'll almost always find me in my craft room on the days they're busy doing other things.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings,
Karen

Life Is An Adventure - RRR

Welcome by my blog today, friends.  Thanks for visiting as I share a fun card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used some fun patterned papers and chipboard (camper) that I picked up at Tuesday Morning....always great bargains there!  The patterned papers are from  and the chipboard is.  The sentiment (Life Is An Adventure) is from Paper Sweeties.
I ran a length of the lovely Fuchsia Wrinkled Ribbon down the center of my card.  I bundled some Ivory Burlap String and Navy Burlap String and layered that with some peach magnolias from the Magnolias Mixed Pastels and several navy sweetheart blossoms (from the Miniature Sweetheart Blossoms Mixed Blues), peach sweetheart blossoms (from the Mixed Peach/Orange), and some Miniature Ivory Sweetheart Blossoms.
There are so many gorgeous Mulberry Flowers at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and as you can see on this card; they accent our stamped images so nicely.  I almost framed the journalling spot with my cascading flowers on this card,  I could have gone completely crazy and put them everywhere...like a garden.  But I tried to use some restraint....LOL.  You're always sure to find the perfect ribbons, trims and embellishments at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blessings,

Karen

Paper Sweeties & Coffee Lovers

Welcome by!  One thing that Paper Sweeties has in common with the vast majority of the crafting community is our deep LOVE of all things coffee, tea, and crafty sweetness.  With that in mind, we're teaming up with some of our friends over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog to celebrate with a special Blog Hop.  There will be prizes and LOTS of fabulous inspiration; so be sure to hop along for your chance to win and to be inspired.
Paper Sweeties carries so many cute coffee-themed stamps and dies (sweet cuts as we like to call them) to help you make ADORABLE cards and projects for all the fun coffee hops and challenges, and...of course, to give to all your coffee-loving friends.  For my first card, I used the Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Stamp Set for the coffee mug, steam and sentiment.  I used the Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Sweet Cuts for the cup and the steam.  I also used some sweet Cotton Candy Seam Binding and a few Marshmallow Sequins and a Blueberry Sequin. I used Crate Paper navy and pink patterned papers and a navy journalling sticker, and used the ColorBox Coal Ink Pad.
My second project is a sweet Christmas card that I made using some non-traditional colors from a GORGEOUS line of papers by Prima called Santa Baby.  The small touches of red make it work somehow, right?  I used a darling Christmas stamp set from Paper Sweeties called Homemade With Love, and this is such a DELICIOUS set.  Using it, I stamped the cupcake onto a white cardstock base and cut it out with the coordinating Homemade With Love Sweet Cuts, and then stamped parts of it again onto the Christmas patterned papers.

I outlined the cupcake with chunky pink glitter, and I stamped the cute peppermint sticks and die-cut them as well using this same sweet set from Paper Sweeties.  The coffee cup was cut from dictionary paper using the Keep Calm & Drink Coffee Sweet Cuts, and the steam is from the Keep Calm & Drink Coffee Stamp Set.  I also tied in some Bubblegum Seam Binding and Watermelon Seam Binding into this extra sweet card, and tucked in the small tag from the Stitched Tags #1 Sweet Cuts.  And yes....I realize I used A LOT of Paper Sweeties' products on this card, but what can I say?  Paper Sweeties just has SO many adorable products that you end up always wanting to use them all.
Here's the complete list of all those participating in this special blog hop.  We hope that you'll stop by each blog to check out all the amazing inspiration and to comment on each so that you'll be eligible for the fabulous prize.  There's A LOT going on this month at Paper Sweeties (in addition to this fun Blog Hop) including daily inspiration by some truly amazing Guest Designers on the Paper Sweeties Blog, a $100 give-away, 50% off our dolls, doll cuts and doll outfit stamp sets, and our upcoming New Release 3-Day event (August 14-16).  So, don't forget to stop by often.

Blessings to you,
Karen

I Will Remember - Joy Clair Stamps

I'm always so humbled and grateful to have you stop by my blog.  When I see comments appear for moderation, I get super excited.  Sometimes I can go days and days without a comment, and then suddenly...someone stops by.  Well, please know how very grateful I am that you are here.  I'm sharing a darling little card I created for Joy Clair Stamps and I hope you like it.
As I like to do whenever possible, I used paper scraps to create my card.  I placed the patterned papers here and there, and I also attached a small white doily.  All the stamps I used on this card can be found in the Stamp Set.  This includes the awesome sentiment (Blah Blah Blah) which I stamped in Black Coal onto a piece of patterned paper, and the clouds surrounding the sentiment.  The smaller images that I stamped onto the tidbits of patterned papers (the gems and the raindrops) are also found in the Stamp Set.  This fun way of using up scraps is also a fabulous way to showcase more of the awesome stamps in this AMAZING stamp set.  Just like all of Joy Clair Stamps. this Stamp Set is a versatile set that makes fabulous cards all on its own, or when combined with other Joy Clair Stamps.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and please visit the Joy Clair Blog often for lots of fabulous inspiration from our talented Design Team.  There are ideas here for stampers of all experience levels.  You'll just LOVE how easy it is to create beautiful cards with Joy Clair Stamps.  And don't forget about our 5th Birthday Celebration during August where YOU can save 25% of everything at Joy Clair.

Boss Babe From Joy Clair Stamps

It's always a good day when friends stop by to say hello, and I thank you for visiting.  We're celebrating this month at Joy Clair Stamps because the company is turning 5 years old!  And in celebration....you can save 25% off everything this month at Joy Clair Stamps (no code needed).  Today I'm sharing a sweet card that I created for Joy Clair Stamps using one of my (many) favorite stamp sets.  I just LOVE how simple it is to create something ADORABLE using the wonderfully versatile stamps from Joy Clair.  It doesn't matter if you're a beginning stamper, an advanced stamper, or somewhere in between...these stamps make it nearly impossible to go wrong.  For instance, on this card...I just placed a bunch of paper scraps onto a card  and stamped sentiments onto the paper strips.
These patterned papers are from my stash.  They're a retired Crate Paper line called Emma's Shoppe, and this is my absolute favorite line of all time.  I bought every last remaining remnant that was available of this darling line; and I will be SO sad when the day finally comes that I'm truly out.  It's such a soft, sweet line. Anyway, I placed my patterned papers here and there, and stamped all these fun sentiments which can be found in the new Boss Babe Stamp Set.
This fun new Boss Babe Stamp Set contains about 11 sentiments, but I used just a handful of them on this card including #way to go! Goal Crusher, ROCKSTAR, and Get It Girl.  You'll love this fun new stamp set, and as we all know; there's always someone we know out there who would appreciate the encouragement of a card like this one.  Sometimes just hearing from a friend that they have faith in you is just enough to encourage a friend to keep going when times are rough.
I also stamped a cute envelope to match this card.  I did this by using the Boss Babe Stamp Set, the Stamp Set as well as my own  Return Address/Custom Stamp - the one I used on this card is my personalized version of the Frye Stamp.  It's fun to create matching envelopes for your cards, and Joy Clair Stamp sets make it easy to decorate a coordinating envelope for your cards.  I own two different styles, but there is a HUGE selection of Custom Stamps.  Definitely worth checking out!!
I hope this simple little card and envelope set was an inspiration to you.  And don't forget about our BIG SALE (25% OFF all month) as well as our big celebrational Blog Hop on August 30.  There's always lots of FAB inspiration on the Joy Clair Blog, and oodles of awesome stamps for you to explore at Joy Clair Stamps.

Blessings,
Karen
