Joy Clair Inspirational Blog Hop Day 1

Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by today as I share this post for Joy Clair Stamps with a card I created using one of their AWESOME new stamp sets from the May Release.  The Month of May is just getting started, so this is just the very beginning of all the excitement we have planned for you all month long at Joy Clair as we reveal all the FABULOUS new stamp sets and partner with Bazzill Basics (everyone's favorite paper).  You won't want to miss a thing, so be sure to stop by the Joy Clair Blog each day this month for all the excitement.  My teammates and I will be sharing oodles of FABULOUS new creations using the New Release stamp sets and Bazzill Basics  papers.

This card was created using a darling new stamp set called Baby Shark.  It has three different sharks, a shark fin, lots of cute accessories (such as waves, shells, bubbles, etc.) and also has several cute sentiments to fit this underwater theme.  How fun is this?  I had SO much fun playing with this new set; but then again, I always have fun when using Joy Clair Stamps.  Here's a peek at this fun new set:

I used a Bazzill Basics coral cardstock base and then created my underwater background by using several inks.  I stamped the waves and bubbles onto the underwater scene/background which is a piece of white Bazzill Basics.  I stamped the sharks (and fin) and colored them with my Copics, and then attached them with 3-D foam tape to give them extra dimension.  

I also stamped the sentiment (Thanks Chum) onto a small fishtail banner and backed it with the matching Bazzill Basics coral cardstock.  The finishing touch was a tiny rusty paperclip, as I wanted to add that small element of metal to somehow represent the feel of a fishing hook.
