Welcome by today, everyone! This month at Joy Clair Stamps, we're teaming up with our friends over at Imagine Crafts to bring you some really fun and exciting coffee cards combining Joy Clair Stamps with the products found at Imagine Crafts. I chose to work with some of their amazing Embossing Powders, Sheer Shimmer Stix and Fantastix. I made two cards to share with you today.
On my first card, I used a piece of light pink paper and placed a stencil over it. Next, I carefully sprayed or "spritzed" it with Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer from Imagine Crafts to stencil the background (sort of a chicken wire background). I also used the Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer to touch the edges where I would normally have used ink. Once I had created my background, I was able to do the stamping.
I used the Coffee Lovers Stamp Set to stamp the sentiments (Thanks A Latte), the coffee cups, the steam, and the coffee beans. I also used the Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer on the tip of a Fantastix to "paint" the one coffee cup (the pink one). The outer portion is the regular color, and the softer pink is diluted down. The Fantastix are like little pencils you can dip into different inks and paint with them. They have various sizes and shapes of tips for painting sharper details, or doing bigger areas. They're pretty darn cool.
On my second card, I stamped two of the (three) coffee mugs found in the Christmas Coffee Stamp Set. I embossed the one mug using the fabulous Black Hologram MBoss Embossing Powder, and the other using Metallic Berry MBoss Embossing Powder. These embossing powders are SO cool, come in tons of great colors, and really grab the light beautifully.
I used some Iridescent Opaque MBoss Embossing Powder on the holly leaves. The coffee mugs, Coffee sentiment, steam and holly leaves can all be found in the Christmas Coffee Stamp Set. I do wish my photos had captured the glimmer these amazing embossing powders produce. It's really pretty and sparkly in real life.
This is my last post for Joy Clair. I've stepped down, and believe me, it's for the best. Thanks for stopping by.
