Paper Sweeties December Fun

Welcome by my blog today, and thanks so much for visiting me as I share an extra sweet Christmas card I created using some of the brand new stamps and sweet cuts (dies) from the adorable new Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set and coordinating Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (dies) available now only at  Paper Sweeties.  My Design Team Members and I are hoping that the projects we share this month will inspire and excite you SO much that you'll be compelled to stop by Paper Sweeties and treat yourself to this perfectly timeless, classic Christmas set to enjoy for years to come.  We need to remember to treat ourselves occasionally, as well as buying for others during the holidays, and this is a must-have set that you use over and over again (as I know I sure will).
To create this sweet card, I stamped the truck from the Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set onto red paper, and I embossed it in black.  Next, I colored (added more red) using my Copics.  I ran the coordinating Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (truck die) through my Big Shot and trimmed the truck a bit.  I attached the truck to my patterned paper base, and I covered everything including the truck, its tires, the bed of the truck, the background, etc. in "snow" (white paint) and ultra-fine glitter.  I hope you'll click on it for a closer look.  It's really cool with the felt tree and the fake snow.
The sweet Christmas tree was cut from a deep green wool felt using the adorable Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (tree die), and the felt gave it a nice warm texture.  As I mentioned above, I also covered the tree in white snow (paint) to recreate the look of a  tree cut fresh from the woods and hauled away in the old red truck.  It really gives that warm Christmas memory or feeling, which nicely compliments the sweet sentiment also found in the sweet Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set.  How adorable is this new set?  And I haven't even used all of the sweet stamps found in this set yet.  This card showcases just a few.  Like I said.....a true classic Christmas must-have set.
Don't forget about all the excitement you'll find every day this month on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  You really won't want to miss a thing.  From myself, Debbie, and the entire Design Team at Paper Sweeties; we wish you a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.....and we really hope that you will stop by to share in the BIG "December Sweeties Celebration" with us this month at Paper Sweeties.

Karen

I'm sharing my card here:
ChouxChoux Paper Art - Lori Hairston's Visions of Sugarplums Challenge #2: Home For Christmas - My sentiment is "Home For the Holidays" and that's exactly what this card reminds me of and helps me to fondly recall.  Our homes always feel "homier" once the tree is up; and that allows us to feel at home for Christmas no matter where we are.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - "Wrap It Up" is Simon's theme this week.  This scene of picking out the perfect tree, throwing it in the back of your old red truck, and taking it home to set up...tells the story and sets the scene for Christmas.  Under the tree is where we placed all our wrapped packages, and I know I always feel good once we've "Wrapped it Up" with our tree picking, hauling, and set-up.  LOL

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Simon Says "B is For...." on this challenge.  So, my answer to that is...."B is For BRINGING Home The Tree".  This is such an important part of Christmas in every home.

Paper Sweeties & Winter Coffee Hop

A warm welcome today to all my coffee-loving blog friends.  I hope you're enjoying the  2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop; and thanks for stopping by to take a peek at this sweet little Winter coffee tag I created for the event on behalf of Super Sponsor, Paper Sweeties.  If you haven't yet seen the brand new December Merry Christmas Y'all Stamp Set and Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts (coordinating dies).....OH MY!!!  You're gonna LOVE this set.
I have an ADORABLE card using this sweet new set that's scheduled to go live December 8, and another on the 22nd; and I hope you'll stop by to see them both.  In fact, there are inspirational projects using this sweet new set - along with all of the fabulous products from Paper Sweeties - being shared every day this month on the Paper Sweeties Blog.  We hope to inspire you and excite you, and hope you will stop by Paper Sweeties each day for this special December Christmas event.

My tag showcases the Merry Christmas Y'all Sweet Cuts which I used to cut the tree from a deep green wool felt and touched with "snow" (paint) and glitter.  I also used the Merry Christmas Stamp Set to stamp the adorable sentiment (Home For The Holidays) onto a journalling sticker and placed it under the tree onto the tag.  It's a simple tag, but it shows you just how amazing this new set really is.  I know it's a set that I will use every Christmas moving forward because it's just so classic and fun.  The coffee cup at the bottom can be found in the Tackle Life One Cup At a Time Stamp Set.  I stamped it onto dark brown wool felt and cut it out.  Paper Sweeties also carries LOTS of darling coffee-themed products.

You can see all the fabulous inspirational projects and all the amazing products available now by visiting Paper Sweeties. Thanks again for stopping by to say hello, and I'll look forward to visiting you to see all your sweet coffee projects.

Have a blessed day,
Karen

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 - I was very much inspired by the sweet tag created by Miriam Pranter on Day 19.  Her creative use of felt on her tag and tree really got my creativity flowing.

Paper Sweeties New Release Rewind

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've enjoyed my Paper Sweeties New Release projects using the adorable new Merry Stamp Set.  But....if you missed my other projects, or my teammates' projects, you can see my New Release Sneak Peek and my New Release Day Celebration posts by clicking on the highlighted links.  Today, as we wrap up the new release from Paper Sweeties, I decided to share a sweet little Christmas tag.
I was smart enough to create my New Release Sneak Peek and New Release Day projects pre-surgery.  However, I failed to create my project for today until now.  And because I'm very limited with what I'm able to create with one arm, I chose to make a tag.  You'll probably even notice (in the close-ups) that my embroidery isn't on point either.  My apologies, friends.
The good news is this.....with Paper Sweeties adorable stamps, dies and more, it's impossible to create anything less than SUPER cute because their products are so very sweet.  We know you will love everything you buy from Paper Sweeties, and that you'll have endless fun creating with their high-quality, super adorable products.
I used the For You Sweet Cuts (adorable tag die) to create my tag.  It's cut from muslin; as is the sentiment piece (inside oval).  I used the Oval Scallop Frames Sweet Cuts to cut the muslin for my sentiment.  I stamped the word JINGLE using the new Merry Stamp Set, and then I straight-stitched over the stamped word with a deep red DMC floss.  The outer part of the Oval Scallop Frame Sweet Cuts was cut from green wool felt.  I also added some Sugar Sprinkles Sequins and some vintage baker's twine.  Sweetness!  Here are my teammates who have something AMAZING to share with you today:

I'm sharing my Christmas tag here:

Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags - This tag was inspired by two people (ideas).  One was my Sweeties teammate, Lisa Golzbein, on Day 6, who gave me the idea of using our scalloped frames (but I used oval rather than rectangle).  I was also inspired by the talented Jennifer Jackson (and a few of her teammates) from Newton's Nook on Day 5 using their cute new ornament die.  I was drawn to the empty oval space in the centers of their ornaments where they added their sentiment/focal point.  I combined those two inspiring tag elements to come up with mine.  I've been so inspired by this event.

It's Release Day at Paper Sweeties!

Hurray!  It's finally time for the FABULOUS new release at Paper Sweeties, and that means you are able to purchase the AMAZING new Merry Stamp Set as of today.  You will absolutely LOVE this sweet new set....not only at Christmas time, but all year long.  In fact, yesterday I shared a sweet wedding card using this lovely new stamp set.  If you missed that post, you can see it here
Today I'm sharing another card I created with the new Merry Stamp Set.  This one uses the cute sentiment FA LA LA.  I also added a library card that is stamped with Jingle All The Way and Abigail.  I stamped pretty Abigail and picked out a Winter outfit and shoes for her from the Holly Jolly Holiday Stamp Set.  I also added the holly and berries found in our Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Stamp Set, and cut them with the coordinating Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Sweet Cuts.
I added some red baker's twine to my card as well as some Strawberry Sequins, Green Apple Sequins and Sugar Sprinkles Sequins.  The candy cane in Abigail's hand is also from the Holly Jolly Holiday Stamp Set.  You see, all of Paper Sweeties products work together and compliment one another so well.  You will absolutely LOVE everything at Paper Sweeties.
Here's the link with links for all my Paper Sweeties teammates who have something special to share with you today.  There's always something wonderful to find at Paper Sweeties, so I hope you'll stop by often for inspiration, shopping, new products, and so much more!

Paper Sweeties November Sneak Peek

Hey there, blog friends!  Welcome by today as my teammates and I start to share our "sneak peeks" of the new November Release at Paper Sweeties.  There's a darling new stamp set called Merry that has eleven sweet words that will help you create cards and projects with endless possibilities.  For instance, I used the word LOVE today to create a wedding card using this sweet new set, but the set can also be used for all sorts of fabulous Christmas projects and SO much more.
I used a piece of gold glitter cardstock for my card base and then a piece of salmon pink cardstock onto which I repeatedly stamped the word LOVE in light pink down the left side, and in light grey down the right side.  I also ran a length of Frosting Seam Binding down the left side of my card and tied a double bow with it.
Next, I cut a heart from the gold glitter paper using the With Love Sweet Cut and placed a piece of chipboard (the wedding cake) on top of the heart.  Once again, I stamped the word LOVE on the chipboard wedding cake and embossed them in gold to make them pop.  I also added some sweet Sugar Sprinkles Sequins to the card for extra bling.  Paper Sweeties carries the CUTEST flower-shaped (cupped) Sequins in a variety of sweet colors.  They're just the sweetest little touch.  Don't you think?
Here's the list of all my talented Paper Sweeties teammates who have prepared something special for you today using this sweet new Merry Stamp Set; and I know they will show you a wide variety of ways to use this adorable and versatile new stamp set.  It's a must-have for Christmas, and all year long.  Oh....and don't forget to stop back by again tomorrow and Friday as we share even more inspiration.  I'm always SO grateful for your visits.
Blessings to you,
Karen

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Paper Sweeties

It's time again for the FABULOUS 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, and today is Paper Sweeties day to shine.  All you need to do in order to participate is visit the (awesome) host of this amazing event, Tracey McNeeley, and check out all the different tags shared on her blog.  Then, you simply create a tag of your own that was inspired by something you saw there.  Please mention in your blog post which tag inspired you, and then link your tag to her linky party to be entered to win one of the many fabulous prizes being offered.  And guess what! Among all the other fabulous prizes, Paper Sweeties is offering a $25 Gift Certificate to one lucky participant.  Tags are a quick project to make, and especially at Christmas they are a super fun thing to have on hand.  You can tuck them into Christmas cards, use them to decorate a special Christmas gift package, or even to hang on your Christmas tree.   I sure hope that you will stop by to join in on all the fun, prizes and inspiration.
I created my sweet double tag using the For You Sweet Cuts on the larger tag and the Stitched Tags Sweet Cuts #1 for the smaller tag.  On the smaller tag. I rubbed some craft glue on the bottom portion of the small tag and covered it in red glitter.  At the top of the smaller tag, I stamped the words "For You" using the For You Stamp Set.  Then, for the larger tag, I used an awesome Paper Sweeties stamp set called Meet Me Under The Mistletoe, which is one of my most favorite Paper SweetiesChristmas sets.
As you can see, I also decorated a kraft pillow box that I wrapped in Frosting Seam Binding, some red tulle, burlap string, and another tag (round) that's stamped with "BELIEVE", which is a sneak peek of this month's Paper Sweeties New Release Stamp Set - an adorable sentiment set you won't want to miss.
I cut the holly and berries using the coordinating Meet Me Under The Mistletoe Sweet Cuts.  Both the tag and the pillow box have the felt holly & berries on them.   I also topped the tag with some ribbon, twine, rusty bells, and an adorable Red & White Chenille Candy Cane that I "grunged up" a bit with ink.  And let's not forget Paper Sweeties' unique and ADORABLE Sequins.  I added Strawberry Sequins to my tag as an extra little touch of Paper Sweeties goodness.
Here are the names of my other teammates from Paper Sweeties who have created a tag to inspire you.  And, here is the link once again for Tracey McNeeley's Blog where this big wonderful event is taking place.  And before you run off, I have a special give-away below.  Thanks for visiting!
Happy you're here,
Karen
To celebrate this year's awesome 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, I'm having this special give-away (continental US).  I've put together some antiques that can be used in crafting.  They're the real deal....not just replicas, but actual antiques.  There's an antique floral frog, old spools, antique milk bottle caps,  tin hearts, button cards, some (5) shabby old doilies, laces, trims, and sewing ephemera.  To be entered, just become my new FOLLOWER (if you're not already) and leave me a comment.  I'm really hoping to reach 1,000 Followers soon. (wow)  For those who enter Tracey McNealy's 25 Days of Christmas Tags linky party with a tag inspired by mine, you can gain another entry.  Just let me know in the comments.  Have a blessed day!

Tracey McNealy's 25 Days of Christmas Tags - I knew right away when I saw this Day 4 tag created by Lindsey of Bashful Blogging that I wanted to somehow include GLITTER on my tag.  I've been SO inspired during this special event.

Paper Sweeties October Release Rewind

Welcome by today, everyone!  It's time to CELEBRATE Autumn with the new Paper Sweeties as we wrap up our October Release......and just wait until you see the two adorable new sets that were released this month.  There's the adorable I'm Nuts About You and the sweet Happy Fall Y'all - and they're both available now in the Paper Sweeties Shop.  They are SO sweet!
The card I'm sharing today showcases the new I'm Nuts About You Stamp Set, and uses several of the adorable sentiments (words) found in this great new set.  I laid some patterned papers in place, and then I stamped Jake, cut him out using the Jake Sweet Cut, and dressed him in the new outfit found in the I'm Nuts About You Stamp Set.  I also stamped the heading sentiment (My Favorite Things) on a sticker, and stamped all the other words from this set on a journalling card to help Jake share all the things he loves (as do all of us, really) about Autumn.
The tiny little leaves and acorn on the journalling card are also found in this sweet stamp set; as are the larger acorns that I stamped on a ruler patterned paper and placed at the top and bottom of my card.  I also attached some layered Cookie Dough Sequins, Orange Creamsicle Sequins and Green Apple Sequins and accented my card with them just because they're so darn cute!
Now, if you will be so kind as to click on the links (below); you will be taken directly to the blogs of each of my talented teammates who have prepared some Paper Sweeties inspirations for you using these fabulous new stamp sets and other Paper Sweeties favorites.  You will be delighted by all the inspiration you'll find.
Thanks again for stopping by, and don't forget to stop by Paper Sweeties to do some shopping.  I just know you will LOVE these new sets.  They're just SO much fun to play and create with, and it's really time you treated yourself.  You won't regret it.  Have a wonderful day!

Paper Sweeties October New Release Day

Welcome by again today, everyone!  It's New Release Day for this month's FABULOUS new stamp sets at Paper Sweeties.  This month we have two brand new adorable stamp sets; Happy Fall Y'all and I'm Nuts About You.... each of which includes a new outfit for the Sweeties and Jake, oodles of adorable Fall sentiments, and several other cute stamps to help embellish all your sweet Autumn projects.  And the best part is......they are available to purchase as of today at Paper Sweeties.
The card I'm sharing today uses the new Happy Fall Y'all Stamp Set.  I stamped Jake and then told him that he could decide what he wanted to be for Halloween this year.  He told me that he wanted to create the persona "SUPER JAKE"....it's his own personal take on SuperMan.  He even coined the hashtag #superjake.  I stamped his outfit for him (pants and cape) with the new Happy Fall Y'all Stamp Set, and I also used the Autumn Blessings Stamp Set to create his shirt (the one that appears under his Super Jake cape) but I cut off the fringe.  I sorta pieced together these two outfits to help Jake achieve his costume choice, and I also free-handed his cool superhero utility belt.  I colored everything with my Copics, and I die-cut the letter S for his cape, then stamped his name right over the S using the Jake Stamp Set.   The adorable sentiment (Autumn Wishes & Pumpkin Kisses) is also found in the new Happy Fall Y'all Stamp Set.  Jake is positioned on a vellum tag that was cut using the fabulous For You Sweet Cut.  I topped the tag with a snippet of burlap ribbon, a felt leaf, a sweetheart blossom, and some Orange Creamsicle Sequins, Strawberry Sequins, and Green Apple Sequins.
This photo (below) shows you why I needed to stamp and add the shirt from the Autumn Blessings Stamp Set to clothe Jake.  I wanted to be able to move Jake's cape to make it look like it's blowing in the wind......like a "real" superhero.  I wished I could have gotten super adventurous and somehow put Jake's hands on his hips for that photo.  But Jake is stubborn, and likes to keep his standard pose.  He's consistent that way.  But I do applaud him on the creativity of his costume choice and having the confidence to become his own sort of superhero.
By the way, Jake is going to a FABULOUS Halloween party with his friends Emma, Sophie, and Abigail.  I hope that if you create any Paper Sweeties Halloween projects that you will be sure to post them on our Facebook Page so that everyone can "see all the photos" from their big Halloween party.  We always LOVE seeing your Paper Sweeties creations, and all the fun that Jake and his friends have together.

Here's the list of all my super talented teammates from Paper Sweeties who have prepared something super sweet for you today showcasing these two wonderful new stamp sets.  Each of their projects are SO sweet, and I just know you won't want to miss out on seeing them.  Adorable creativity awaits you in the sweetest of shops.....Paper Sweeties.  Stop by and treat yourself to the sweetest of crafty treasures.  Have a blessed day, and don't forget to visit again tomorrow as my Paper Sweeties friends and I share even more fabulous new projects to inspire you.
Blessings,
Karen

Paper Sweeties October Release Sneak Peek

Welcome by, friends!  Today is the Paper Sweeties October New Release Sneak Peek Day, and my teammates and I are sharing several sweet projects we've created using the two fabulous new stamp sets from the Paper Sweeties new October Release.  I'm sharing a warm and wonderful little Autumn card that combines stamps from both of the sweet new sets - Happy Fall Y'all and I'm Nuts About You Stamp Sets.  I used warm patterned papers from a sweet line called Farmhouse by Crate Paper to create the base of my card.  Next, I cut a tag from a piece of burnt orange corrugated cardboard using the For You Sweet Cuts tag.  Oh my heart, these two new stamp sets are SO adorable!
I stamped the image Happy Fall Y'all on a sticker, and also stamped and placed the acorn from the new I'm Nuts About You Stamp Set just off-setting the sentiment.  I placed all that onto the corrugated For You stitched tag.  At the bottom of the tag, I added several pumpkins that are also included in the new I'm Nuts About You Stamp Set.  I stamped the pumpkins on an organge-ey patterned paper, colored them a bit with my Copics, and cut them out.  The border on the right-hand side of my card uses the scalloped border found in the adorable Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts.
And finally.....I added a very small journalling sticker at the lower right side of my card with some vintage scotch tape, washi tape, a Tim Holtz mini staple, and I stamped the word #blessed from the Happy Fall Y'All Stamp Set.   I love all the cute little sentiments found in each of Paper Sweeties sweet sets, and some of my favorite are the adorable on-trend hashtag sentiments.  So perfect when making cards for the younger generation (cuz it's all about the hashtags with them, you know....LOL).  In fact, Jake made up a cute hashtag the other day.  He used the hashtag #superjake and said that it has something to do with his Halloween costume, so stay tuned for our tomorrow's post as well.  There's always something fun, fabulous and SWEET happening at Paper Sweeties.
Below is the list of all my talented Paper Sweeties teammates who have prepared something adorable to share with you today.  I hope that you will stop by to see their sweet creations and say hello.  There is always something adorably sweet and special awaiting you at Paper Sweeties.  Stop by often, treat yourself, and have a wonderful time creating with your sweet new products.  You will LOVE everything you see at Paper Sweeties.  Don't forget to visit us again tomorrow and Tuesday for even more inspiration.

Blessings,
Karen

It's Paper Sweeties Release Rewind Time

Hello, friends!  For those of you who have visited me the past three days for the Paper Sweeties New Release Party, I thank you so very much.  I hope you've thoroughly enjoyed all the fun and inspiration this sweet new I'm So Proud of You Stamp Set has brought us.  This sweet new stamp set, along with all of Paper Sweeties fabulous products, are available now in the Paper Sweeties Shop.
But before we wrap things up with this month's New Release Party, I wanted to share one last card to inspire your creativity.  There are just SO many different things you can do with this sweet new stamp set, so I thought I'd explore another idea.  I used a wood-grain patterned paper as my base, and then added a piece of October Afternoon patterned paper, border sticker, ruler sticker, and journalling sticker.  I stamped the sentiments (World's Best Teacher, A+), stack of books (two), apples (three), ruler (three) and pencils (two) from the new I'm So Proud of You Stamp Set.  I simply placed the rulers and pencils here and there to represent the mess most usually found on a teacher's desk.  I know just who I'm sending this card to.   Any guesses?
Even if your kids are grown now, like mine are, this is still a fun stamp set to own because you can encourage those in your life who teach, and all those little ones you know and love who could use a little extra encouragement during back-to-school time, or even throughout the year when they need a little pick-me-up and words of encouragement.  That's the fun of making cards...being able to send them out to others and being able to bless and encourage others with our cards.
Here's the hop list of all my talented teammates who have created something inspiring for you today using this sweet new I'm So Proud of You stamp set.  I hope you will stop by and leave them some love.  You're sure to thoroughly enjoy everything you see along the way.  These are some truly talented and creative gals...to say the least.
Thanks again for sharing the Paper Sweeties New Release with us.
Blessings,
Karen

I'm playing along here:
Stamping Sensations Challenge Blog - Something Beginning With B - I stamped all my images and sentiments with a darling new stamp set from Paper Sweeties (details above), and my B word is BOOKS.  Time for the kids to hit the books again as they say.

It's Release Day at Paper Sweeties!

Hurray!!  It's finally here....September Release Day at Paper Sweeties.  That means that as of today, you can purchase the adorable new I'm So Proud of You Stamp Set before they're gone.  It's always such a bummer when you fall in love with a new stamp set on a company's release day, and you hesitate for a bit...and before you know it, the stamp set is out of stock.  It's happened to me more than I'd like to admit.  I'd suggest a trip to Paper Sweeties for some retail therapy because every month there are adorable new sets in the Paper Sweeties Shop, and you won't want to miss a thing.
For today's card, I used several different patterned papers, journalling sticker, and red ruler border sticker from October Afternoon.  Then, I stamped the small stack of books (twice), the apple, the ruler, the sentiment, the outfitfit, shoes and hair bow all found in the adorable new I'm So Proud of You Stamp Set.  I also placed two (stacked) Strawberry Sequins at Abigail's waist.  I stamped Abigail onto ivory cardstock and colored her skin and hair with my Copics.  Her outfit, hair bow and shoes were all stamped onto patterned paper.  I placed Abigail on a tag that was cut using the awesome For You Sweet Cut.  You may notice that I use this For You Tag a lot as a base on my cards.  It's such a versatile and awesome piece to own, and I'm sure you'd find yourself using it all the time like I do.
This card looks adorable, but there really isn't much to it at all.  Anyone, and I mean anyone, could make this card.  It's just a matter of laying down papers, stamping and gluing things together.  With all the sweet products (stamps, dies, seam binding and so much more) found at Paper Sweeties, you really can't go wrong.  The cute cards just start flying off your fingertips when you're using such adorable products.
I'm So Proud of You
Give your creative side a try, and treat yourself to this sweet new I'm So Proud of You stamp set (or several new stamp sets....you won't regret it).  Here's the list for you to visit my teammates who have something adorable ready for you.
Thanks again for visiting, and don't forget to stop by again tomorrow as we wrap up this month's new release with our Release Rewind Party.  There's just SO much sweetness to see.

Blessings,
Karen
