A Trip to Paris

Today my husband, Darren, and I celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary.  I am so grateful to God for giving me such a wonderful husband, friend, provider, and father to my beautiful children.  We've always dreamed of taking a trip to Paris together.  Whether we ever make it there or not, I don't really care.  As long as I have him in my life, I am truly blessed.  But, since today is our Anniversary and I was thinking about all the talks we've had about going to Paris, I made this little envelope using the JustRite Greetings From Paris stamp set to decorate a Maya Road Kraft envelope, and I tucked a love note inside telling him that I am happy just to be blessed to have him in my life.

My prayer for all my children is that they will have the kind of spouse, and the kind of marriage that God has given us.  It takes love, commitment, and hard work, but it is SO worth it.  Every year just keeps getting better, and that is what I want for each of our children.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:

http://mymumscraftshopchallenges.blogspot.com/2012/08/challenge-70-kraft-it.html - My Mum's Craft Shop Challenges 0 #70 - Kraft It - I used a Maya Road Kraft Envelope.  So sweet.

Thanks for stopping by today.
To my dear hubby. . . . .Happy Anniversary, Darren.  I love you forever.

And to all of you, I wish you all the same love and happiness we have found.

My Cup Truly Runneth Over,

Karen

  1. Congratulations to you and Darren! May the Lord continue to strengthen and be the guiding light in your marriage. Darren's going to love the beautiful card you made for him. Lisa and I talk about traveling around the world too, but like you said, having a loving spouse is the most important thing. Have a great weekend!

  4. Happy Anniversary to you both!!! It is such a blessing to see a good marriage and to hear encouragement that though it is work, it is possible and wonderful!! That's how I feel. Our 24th anniversary is Monday. I have a post with my card for hubby scheduled and I mentioned in there for everyone to appreciate their husband! In our years of ministry, we have seen so many homes wrecked that could have been saved with some love and appreciation for each other! Maybe you'll get to Paris someday!!
    Your card is just beautiful!!

  7. Hi Karen,
What an inspirational blog you have. I just love this Paris themed envelope. What better place to tuck in a love note. My hubby and I are on year 23 and you are correct. It is hard work and it is worth every ounce of energy you put into it.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving such a nice note. I hope to hear from you again soon.

  8. Pretty with the embellishing. On my bucket list is to go on a Safari to Africa to see Cheetahs in the Wild. There was an article in last Sun newspaper of a place in S Africa that is raising 3 Cheetah cubs and you can interact with them. Thanks for congrats on my Kraft Journal Top 3 win. I entered quite a few Tags this wk. I was lucky to win one mth and the $25 from the Kraft Journal store is a nice prize. I have an entry for the Speedy TV Sketch with a Twist that I'll enter Sun or Mon. Have a nice weekend.
