The very talented Diane Noble of Daydream Designs recently designed three new beautiful scripture sets that are now available in her sweet little shop, which you can find here: Scripture Set 2 at Daydream Designs and let me just say. . . .you won't be disappointed. These beautiful scripture digis are beyond gorgeous, and I am certain that you will want to own all three sets. I know that Diane would love to have you visit the store and say hello. Please take a moment to stop on over and check out all the gorgeous new items she has recently added to Daydream Designs (as well as the oldies, but goodies). The value of Daydream Designs' images are exceptional for what you get in each set.
All I did to create this sweet little paper bag pocket, all ready for gift-giving, was to take an ordinary brown paper bag and fold it in half. Next, I stitched around the sides to create a little pocket. I covered the outside of the pocket with the scripture which is printed on Simple Stories patterned paper and inked. Next, I made little pocket inserts that can either be used as photo mats, bookmarks, gift card holders, or journaling mats. I decorated each one with matching Simple Stories journaling cards, patterned papers and stickers. Then I embellished a bit here and there with baker's twine, buttons, chipboard, stickers and a stick pin. Both pockets are stuffed and ready to hide away photos or memories. I've taken out one of the pocket inserts to give you a closer look. Here is the back pocket tag (both sides of each tag are decorated, but I didn't photograph them all) just to give you an idea of what I did:
Of course, I can't resist entering a few challenges. Here they are:

ReplyDeleteHi Karen...Just want to thank you for leaving a wonderful message in my blog a few days ago about my WAW Card...Like you, I am aware that none of the Presidential candidates have a belief aligned with the principles of the scripture but when face with a choice, I do choose the ones that is the closest to the teachings of Jesus Christ. The current President is too far left so, you know who I voted for. I am glad we are able to vote early and with much prayer, we lift up our nation unto the Lord that He will show great mercy in the face of people's rebellion and pride. My heart cries for the darkness I'm seeing everyday and I pray that those that are washed by the blood of the Lamb would wake up from their slumber and take back what is being stolen from this country. I don't fear my future because we have a God that we can trust, whose true to His promises and we know how this fight is going to end---the coming of the Lord Jesus and His triumph---our Triumph! My heart bleeds for those who will not listen---yet you and I will continue to pray...I am thankful for you, Karen, that I found another person that loves the Lord Jesus and is not afraid to share it with anybody. You are a true blessing! Hugs always!
ReplyDeleteIn Christ,
JO ANN
I really wish that more people (the far left) could see that a vote for Obama is a vote for the moral destruction of our great country. I continue to pray that God will be merciful to our nation.
DeleteYou are a blessing to me, Jo Ann.
